Jesus, a real masterpiece, both vocals so marvelous, the piano so delicate... Frida beautiful in her furcoat. No doubt Abba is genius.

Perfect description. This song is life affirming, it celebrates life in all its emotional scale and grandeur. You feel sad but at the same time you want to live and you feel happiness when hearing this pop masterpiece. You feel beauty in this song and you feel happy for experiencing such beauty. It’s true ABBA classic and pop music masterpiece.

I think they had one more album in them back then - and I reckon it could have been one of the defining synth albums of the 80s...

ABBA is always emotional, that´s why they`re unique!!! Every song goes straight to your heart. Even when is a happy song.

Zeddy, your close shaved hair really suits you, not sure about the other vids where you have actual hair. Short hair suits you a lot. Yet again, ABBA grant us an amazing "break-up" song. They never stopped being brilliant. Right to the end of their work back in '81.

THE greatest pop song ever made. I know it's massively overplayed in various territories, but it really is an incredible piece of work - step back from all that baggage and just LISTEN. It's astonishingly well arranged and produced, which is why it sounds just as fresh today as it did back in 1976.

Having commanded the pop world for at least 7 years at this point in 1981, in their dying embers as a group they still managed to produce what I think it their best album "The Visitors". And had time to pop this out, a gloomy Scandinavian melancholic masterpiece, as their final recording. It's a stunning track, and has all kinds of hidden meanings if one wants to delve into that. I don't trust anyone who has any interest in music who says they don't at least appreciate ABBA. They consistently poured out banger, after banger, after banger - there's never been, and never will be any band like that again. They returned to us recently in a glorious moment, but that original run of theirs is a legacy that resonates to this day. ABBA will never get old, thanks to the likes of you who discover the magnificence, and pass it on to new generations who should never be without it.

The "I died and went to heaven" edit was glorious. We all did. We all still do. You will always do so too now. That's the majesty of ABBA.

One of the best songs of all time, from one of the (top 5?) Groups of all time.

Funny how the first thing he says is how different the video is for ABBA, but not the song. But at the same time, while it's doing many brave things, considering where they went musically from 1980 to 1981, is this really such a huge leap in alienation as too many idiots felt it was on release?

Als der Song 1982 veröffentlicht wurde und ich das erste mal die Single auflegte kamen mir voll die Tränen. Schon nach dem ersten Anhören war mir klar, dass es für den Rest meines Lebens für immer mein Lieblingssong sein würde. Umd das hat sich auch bis heute nicht geändert.
