"Thank you for the music" (1977)
has many interesting details
There is an interview to Björn & Benny at 1976 Christmas time, there the reporter asks Them if have a preview of a song, and there both play the melody (without lyrics) of the future "Thank you for the music"
"Thank you for the music"
is the first song of the mini musical that ABBA performed on their 1977 Europe & Australia Tour
the mini musical includes:
Thank you for the music
I wonder (departure)
I'm a marionette
Get on the carrusel
(the last song is the only that wasn't released in their fifth album "ABBA The Album")

is at the end of "ABBA The Movie", and shows ABBA in their homeland again

it's a very special song for the blonde Agnetha
She just came back with ABBA from Australis, shortly after She got pregnant with her second child
When it was time to record it, She was in advanced stage of pregnancy, and to sing it She had to do it in a more forced position
When you see her in each presentation, and included here in the official video, Agnetha's face seems to transform with joy when interpreting "Thank you for the music": her gestures, her looks and her pouting are unmissable

was used as the last number of ABBA to a lot of TV presentation; It's like an ABBA hymn and classic
wasn't a single in UK (until 1983, after ABBA breakup),
should have been the 3rd single of "ABBA The Album", follow
"The name of the game' & "Take a chance on me"
(two bangers that You didn't react yet)
After the success of "Chiquitita" in Spanish-speaking countries, ABBA also recorded it in Spanish and it was a great success in my country Argentina.
And the ABBA album in Spanish language was called just like that: "Gracias por la música" (Thank you for the music)
In my personal opinion
"Thank you for the music"
is in my top 10 of all ABBA songs, for good lyrics, beautiful melody and greatest interpretation by a carismatic Agnetha
and in my Top5 of all Agnetha as lead in ABBA
and it is the last live performance of ABBA, They sung almost 'a cappella' at the end of the last interview of ABBA in 1982
My suggestion is to continue the story of the mini musical
"I wonder (departure)" is the next tune

'Kisses of fire"is from the fantastic 'Abba in Swizerland show and the only filmed precious footage saved of this beautiful song.Still a popular choice from Abba fans.This is a favourable deep cut.

So good to see you back Zeddy. I think those of us who enjoy you and your channel were concerned about you especially since you had shared with us a scary experience you had when you had been out for a drink one night. So, it’s real good to see you back Zeddy. Great choice to go with ABBA (my all time favorite group) for your first reaction after months away. While ABBA are my favorite, I can’t say the same about “Thank You For The Music”. For me, it’s always been torturous to listen to. I just really dislike it. But, I gotta say, I didn’t hear it the same way as I usually do because I actually connected some emotion to it this time because for better or for worse, music does have a powerful affect on us and I applied that emotion to how you probably were feeling being back and sharing your reaction(s) to music with viewers of your channel again. So, already you changed one of your subs (me) opinion of a song I never liked or ever connected with. It doesn’t change that I would still rather listen to most any other ABBA song, but, I also know that whenever it happens to be that I hear this song again in the future, I will be able to at least appreciate why it’s such a beloved song with so many ABBA fans.
It reminds me of a new years song, aud lang syne for some reason, i can see if i listened to it on repeat for a while it could have a grating effect haha, but as a one time listen its nice!

I know that you won't be reviewing whole albums but may i suggest doing album tracks, there's so many to choose from and some real bangers😂, some album tracks are firm favourites with us first time round ABBA fans and are concidered better tracks than those released as singles, i hope you'll think about it
