I just want the basic reliability of the old Hero3. Sadly what I have found is once we had new releases the problems with these cameras became worse. I have 6 GoPros, and the only ones I still totally trust in my 2 very old Hero 3's. Just sad how this company totally tanked, they had the whole action camera market but not anymore.

I had watched multiple videos and was hung up on having the charger hooked up on different batteries on a 24 V system then my brain kicked in and reminded me that you are charging with amps dummy! Good video thanks! Double check your instructions some of these chargers say do not install on carpet.

Thank you dan, on my 2 boats, there is a spot in the middle where there is a "dead spot" maybe 2cm long. So when im turning the wheel it does not really hook onto the wire until a little bit. Ik this might be commong but how do i fix my loose steering wheel. But when its taking and steering, its very smooth.

Great video. I'm having some trouble with your reserve capacity calculation. I'm looking at a battery from Canadian Tire and on the label it says 130 reserve minutes and it also says it has 65 amp hours. Doing your calculation on the reserve capacity calculation the amp hours comes out to 54.1666666667 amp hours. why the difference between that number and the 65 amp hour rating on the battery? I really need your help.

I have a 60 hp efi and a garmin 93sv running off the same group 24 starting battery. Im always worried when the motors off while either trolling or anchored that the voltage drops too low. Is the voltage reading on the garmin accurate? How low do you let it drop before starting your outboard to re charge it?

My Garmin device is not within range of my Wifi network -- how do i solve that problem ? Can the unit be removed from the Boat and attached to 12 volts to be closer to the Wifi Network to do all this stuff ? I have the Active Captain installed on my OS Phone but it immediately tells me there is no Wifi to connect to -- does that mean its trying to connect to the Garmin Unit?

Curious if you have came across my issue. I’ve traced power all the way to the cradle (12.7v). My unit will power up but the startup logo stays dimmer than usual and after so many seconds “transfer failed” pops up and then stays on that screen until you press the power button for it to go back off. Any ideas?

Quick question for you.. when you talk about having a charger for each battery, are you disconnecting the jumper cables between the multiple batteries, essentially taking apart the parallel/series wiring every time you charge the batteries? If not, how do the two separate chargers detect only the battery you're attaching it to in order to do diagnostic if the other battery is still attached?

So as I connect to batteries in parallel to add my blue switch, does that mean I can charge the battery each individual on positive and negative? I see you had a comment written as a correction saying that it was a positive on one battery to the negative on the other battery, how does that change with the switch?

Thanks! Helped me to find my issue with 74dv. Would not power on but, I had power at the cable. (Test light). After watching your video, I grabbed my fluke meter. Turns out, I had low power from the cable. Saved me hundreds of bucks!

Never, Never, Never send to 5 Star Marine in Port Richey FL. I just sent one there because they said $525 to rebuild it with a 2 year warranty. After they had it for a week they called and said it was too far gone and they couldn't rebuild it BUT they could sell me a rebuilt for $1250 delivered. I said forget it (it's on a 30 year old boat) and to send mine back. I knew I'd have to pay the shipping. The owner gets on the phone and starts yelling at me that they don't work for FREE and needed to charge me 2 hrs. labor for finding out it wasn't rebuildable. So I said your gonna charge me $300 for nothing? He said that's right! I ended up relenting and paying the $1250. I felt ripped off (Still do). The tilt and trim motor they sent works fine but I paid $700 more than I thought. These guys are shady at best and fucking crooks at worst. I went back and read more reviews and it appears they do this to a subset of their customers because there are many good reviews. I'm trying to get the word out on Social Media because businesses like this need to be exposed and reviews can be faked. Anyway, Sorry for the rant but maybe it will save someone else from being swindled.

I keep getting a code 28 message on my Garmin Eco map whenever I come to a stop from moving or start the motor to get going it just says shut down immediately and have serviced, I was wondering if you knew or heard anything about this error code 28 message.

i have a SanDisk extreme 256 GB with 190 reading speed and 130 writing speed but when i did the test it gave me 25 on both and i try to transfer some data it took 2 hours any ideas how to fix it ?

Welp, it didn't work for me. I bought a new cradle on Amazon for my Echomap 94sv Plus based on this movie, AND I talked to Garmin and they are sending me a new cradle (I'm supposed to take people shrimping in two days so covered my bases). The Amazon Garmin cradle arrived and I plugged my unit into it and....nothing. 12.7 volts at the cradle. Thankfully I can get a refund for the Amazon one. I'm on the phone now with Garmin. The guy says that my unit is discontinued so they can't offer me a replacement. I think I'm out of luck. It was a four year old unit. The Garmin guy said I might as well try to take it apart and see if something was loose. I'm going to try taking it apart. Update: there was a little 3/16" cable that didn't have a connector that didn't seem to be connected to anything. I couldn't figure out where or how to attach it. I'm off to the store to find another unit that will fit the hole I cut in the dash of my boat. Not a happy ending for this guy.
