I have those hooks but have not tried this yet. Using Owner twist lock flipping hooks and they've been great.

The TK hooks are the gold standard of flipping and are fantastic hooks. Twist lock hooks are good but certain baits absolutely SUCK when trying to screw them on, like anything from z-man with the elaztech.

Great vid on learning that particular knot. Really like the color of your plastics at the end, matches your boat. ;)

Dan, I am in Florida and punch baits with a snelled Trokar flipping hook is a way of life here.
I snell my hooks exactly as you do however I wrap more times than you do, usually 8+ times. I also do not enter the bait with the hook point directly down the center a you showed in the video. If you look at your finished bait it is not straight at the top. That can cause the bait to spin and twist your line. I enter the bait on the edge where you enter in the center. I then continue into the bait at a 45 degree angle and then continue as you do. If you place the hook along side the bait as if it was rigged you will see the way that hook would be in the bait if you followed what I just said. 1.5 ounce tungsten weight is a standard and even though I have 2+ ounce weights I rarely use them. They are large enough to cause the weight to force the mouth open on a bass with a heavy hook set and cause the fish to not be caught. I carry two flipping rigs, one with 65 and the other with 80 lb braid. Good video Dan!

I was hoping we've get some feedback from the Florida crew, I know you guys are the KINGS of pitching!!! Thanks so much for your additional tips and I'll definitely try your feedback on where to poke through on the bait! Pitching around here is very rare but those of us that know how to do it and where to do it catch some massive fish :) I tend to use a 1 or 1.5 tops because we don't get those insane thick mats like you see in Florida. The winter freeze kills off all the vegetation so it basically resets every spring.
Thanks again for the feedback and extra tips, really appreciate it bud! Someday I need to come to FL and get in to some real heavy duty pitching for bigguns!

I can’t get enough of discovery. I mean, Brad Paisley playing the guitar underwater with all the sharks. Haha.
