We went through Shenandoah Northbound and then I decided to head up to NY.

Me and my husband did the AT in Shenandoah by doing a series of weekend backpacking loops. We ended up hiking about 250 miles in Shenandoah including all of the AT. I'm glad we did it that way. We didn't have to worry about getting a shuttle and we got to see so much more of the park.
Sounds like a great way to enjoy Shenandoah!

It’s pretty cool what they’ve done with it. All the side trails, waterfalls, etc. And how awesome is that to finish all the trails in the park. Smokies 900 next??

Hike there a lot. Friends and I are doing day hikes on the AT southbound through Virginia. We are down to Skyland. Going back out tomorrow with a friend to make up a section she missed.
