I do have a question for you though, what kind of brown shelving units are those underneath your turntables?? They are very nice and I'd like to either acquire some myself or make them. Thank you and cheers!
The record storage shelf that is 2x8 is the old Ikea Expedit. They discontinued this version and now have the Kallax. Cheers!
@vinylfury Thank you much man! Cheers back to you! Jim
AMAZING music room and tour thank you!! Very inspirational, this is the kind of music/audio and recording space I am aspiring to one day! Kudos to you man!😎🎧
Love your content!
How do you keep the Pioneer receiver so shiny? I have a similar one in very good conditions, but yours looks like a mirror
I'm positive that this is a 80's Indianapolis RCA club pressing, not Columbia House.
J Michell actually pioneered the first clamps, but wasn't allowed but the patent office to patent it as they said it wasn't significant lol.. to think how much his company would have been making had he b been allowed to patent it lol
When you play a record it comes out of six speakers?
Any combination of them. 2, 4, or all 6.
Wow. My Pioneer SX-780 is is only 2 speakers at a time, I thought. Either the two on A or the two on B. How do you get them all to play together? Very cool setup btw.@@vinylfury
@@ungarlinski7965both amps at the same time, the rotel driving two sets and the pioneer driving the vintage pair. and thanks!
Great record
Hello, very similar to the vocalist from Godsmack)
Great video! I hope you get to the bottom of this one! It’s a cool copy no matter what. Subscribed. 👍🏻
You most likely have a promo quiex copy. It's also likely somebody swapped the sleeve/record at some point.
Nice one!! Awesome! 😃🤘😎🎶
I used to have those better homes and gardens cubes. I liked them. They look nice but they’re cheap enough to throw out when you move
wow love your room tour its splendid and your turntables awesome. I never before saw concrete blocks placed among the bookshop etc.
Thank You! I like people who enjoy old audio technology and LP records, but also audio cassettes and VHS technology. - My beginnings of listening to Rock and Blue music were in the early eighties. Greetings to all. :)
Great video man! Very nice room! Congrats!
*Thank you for your great video.* ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I also have to do it on my channel via my hi-fi system. Greetings from Hamburg, Germany, Andre 🤠😎
Great things! I like everything, both digital and vintage analog section. These Hitachi turntables are great, I am for hunt for a model like this for years, but not so many available here. From time to time one appears on the web an is sold within few hours.
Yes, but I think Technics and Pioneer are respectively much better turntables from Japan.
Helpful Video. Thanks 👍
Lol
GLORY to you GLORY to your music room.
Indefinitely 🎉
My Quiex 'Synchronicity' disc is so well recorded & expertly mastered & nicely pressed that it's remained one of my favorite listens for almost 30 years - and I'm not even a big Police fan. Definitely a keeper!
Haven't even made it past your wall treatments, but I already hafta say: • I got to see Jeff Buckley play. It was great & now it's part of that 'Mystery White Boy' release. • Cool tenor guitar! *Very cool!* • Make sure you know what kind of sword that is. Many old swords of historical significance disappeared from Japan after WWI and if they still exist they deserve to go home.
❤❤❤❤❤
Hey, Dan ~ Great video, and thanks for the tour. It's wonderful to have a space like that, and I'm really happy you've got it. I have something similar, and it's my favorite place to be. I especially like your Pioneer SX-750; those are wonderful receivers, and the Nakamichi tape deck is a definite keeper. Cheers!
Few months after this video dropped they released koi no yokan lol. Wonder what your reaction to that album was
Wow you have many varied but interesting pieces, you obvously know your stuff. They were made with metal & solid components that made them heavier when I started out. I should know I got my first hifi in the mid 70s. I have had a bout 6 setups over the years, the first one technics seperates with mission speakers, many friends often asked me to help them buy their systems, my brother in law used to babysit free so he could use mine & now he's married but he has a handmade expensive vinyl deck with a very expensive amp & speakers. I went shopping with a friend who wanted me with him, he did well & listened but I could not stop him buying 2 matching pairs of speakers because he wanted them each end of the room thinking it was quad.😅. I am now on my last system due to age & reture in a few months, but go for a simple attractive but room friendly decent sounding set up. It's rega planar 3 turntable, bowers & wilkins speakers 607 s2 anniv & Marantz cd & pm6007, its simple, a decent price & sounds amazing. I still have old photos of past systems,.When my grandad was my age he had a gramophone.
@ENGLISHISBEST Thank you for sharing your audio experiences! I like to tell you that you got an expensive and an excellent hifi setup at the present! BTW, I got B&W 603 speakers, Pioneer PDS 505 CD Player & PL 15D belt driveTurntable, Akai GX 65 Cassette Deck, & Yamaha RX V1400 AV Receiver. In 1982, when i was young, i bought my first hifi, Kenwood Cassette Deck KX 50, Amplifier KA 30 (25 W.P.C.), Speakers LS 99. Now i am a 61 year old man living in South Asia.
Great gear my man...and excellent video. Keep doing your thing! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Great set up! You can't beat Vintage Audio Quality, it's always going to sound the best 👌🇬🇧
:: i like it 👍 particularly the akai & rotel
Unfortunately, my ONKYO C-7030 quit working. Evidently, it no longer likes foot traffic. Specifically, when I walk near it, it skips like crazy (like some budget vinyl turntables of the 70s and 80s use to do). My other CD players never did this.
I am no technician, but I can say your player is skipping because the CD lens is getting weak after long use. Try to isolate the player from all sorts of vibrations.
@@janath9118 I already tried isolating it in as many ways I could think of. That failed. I haven't had it that long. I'm disappointed, but didn't 'pay a ransom" to get it.
Hungarians have a meal called gulash. It is a mish-mash of everything and tasts good. I'm not shure that same applies to hi-fi systems, but if you enjoy yours - it is all that matters! 😊
Great set up , thank you for sharing it with us enjoyable video
Nice video, but I don't envy you having to move all of that gear and stuff.
Awesome listening room dude!
cool room neat and organised for me personally theres no open space ,every nook and cranny seems filled with something and woud trigger my clustrophobia ..lol regardless i would enjoy listening to music in this space thanks for sharing
Hey VF. Nice channel. Instant sub for me. Pretty awesome stuff you got there. That house is a rocking, for sure. Those Phillips bulbs are no match for the glow of that Pioneer. That sucker looks brand new. I’m gonna try to reclaim my record room, this winter. Our “energetic” puppy turned 3yo, today. He’s got to mellow out soon, right? Caught him one time with a mouth full of K-tel…😂🍻
Yeah I’d be nervous with a puppy around this stuff! Thanks very much ✌️
Great tour and room.
Vinyl sucks, CD is superior to vinyl
ok cool
are you for real,or just trolling
@mafi2111: If I may chime in on this, I'll say that vinyl is far from my favorite medium. But, I disagree with the idea that vinyl sucks as you said. I've heard some good recordings on vinyl. But, it's the recording engineer that made that happen. My frustration is streaming. Too my ears, many streams sound bad. And availability of music isn't always consistent. I don't have to worry about reliability with CD or vinyl regardless of the quality of the recording.
For you
Yes vinyl literally sucks the money outta of our pockets. Vinyl is not for everybody, either u love it or really hate it.
Nice Tour👍 I have had my Hitachi PS-48 for close to 5 years....absolute Beast! It looks and sounds so great I actually sold my Rega 3 and used the money to upgrade to a AT Microline Cartridge and a new Vincent Phono Preamp....sounds AMAZING! Cheers 🍺🍸
Nice! I had a vincent for a bit as well before getting the Rotel, nice unit. Cheers!
Beautiful music room and tour. Just found your channel and subbed.
Thanks very much!
Count me in….I’m a sucker for a sexy Nak…🍻
Great tour my friend! Great room!!! \m/
thanks Brandon!
Love the music room and the cool gear. And yes, Nakamichi made the best tape decks. In fact, many folks got rid of their reel to reel decks and bought a Nakamichi tape deck. I was in high school in 1985 and saved and saved, cut lawns, you name it, to purchase the Nakamihi RX 202. I just had it rebuilt. Again, awesome set up and vintage Pioneer made awesome equipment. There are also still many techs that repair the old gear if it ever breaks down.
Hey DM. That was a big get, back in 85. Love that awesome flip around party trick. Still on my “would love to get list”. I picked up a super clean BX 300, a few years back.. My 1st 3 head deck. Playback is almost indistinguishable from the source. I forgot how much fun making tapes was. Went down the blank tape rabbit hole, a bit, too. Snapped up some really neat stuff. Of, course had to get a couple of Nakamichi type II’s. Metal’s too spendy for me😂. 🍻
@@jimmyBsideDo Nakamichi still make Cassette Decks and cassette tapes!? I don't think so, they closed down business many years ago. Am I right!?
if you ever get a subwoofer for your regular speakers(not the monitors) get REL brand. They aboslutely kill for the money and will make music 100x enjoyable. Peace
definitely considered that! I'd love one set of solid towers with a sub like that. cheers!
@@vinylfury Yes dude fr. SVS are really good too but you pay more for the brand honestly after hearing the two side by side. REL is where everyone should start for a musical subwoofer that has an extensive range.
Very nice set up sir
Great space, sensible gear, and I love your DIY aesthetic. Actually, I think you might have the first VC channel I ever subscribed to, because of the JA Mitchell record clamp. We also have the same record brush, CD player, and turntable platform. Oh, and I’m a Danny, Dan, Daniel… whatever somebody wants to call me.
Well, how about that! Very cool, thank you 😁
I love cassettes I always have I always well because they’re great to collect I love them. and vinyl is great too there’s something wonderful about listening to Puzak and I love collecting blank cassette tapes 120 minutes.
One of the best rooms i saw in a while!
well, thank you very much!
@@vinylfury Your set up looks a lot like mine.Enjoy!
