Love what they did with Silverchair's 'Frogstomp'. Freak Show has a cover that you just do not forget. Once you see that cover it sticks in your memory forever. Would you say that it is their best overall? Ah yes. I could name a few artists that you introduced me to. One is definitely Sonny Stitt. In fact if I see a Stitt album in one of the used shops I think of you. Well done Dan O))). Solid adds~ Rob/Boston
Best album overall? That’s a hard one for me. They all have a unique sound I think. Diorama may be their magnum opus I would have to say. Freak Show may have the best cover though 🤘
there seems to be a lot of Silverchair stuff coming out on Vinyl, which makes me wonder if The Dissociatives album (or even I Can't Believe It's Not Rock) could also come out at some point. The 2023 Record Store Day titles are being announced tomorrow. Who knows..
The Dissociatives should be a no-brainer, it did very well back then. I Can't Believe is definitely more of a niche, although I would love it. I have one of the few CD copies I ordered from Australia in 2000.
I am looking to start getting into Sonny Stitt, hoping to find something good in the bins soon! Thanks for sharing what you bought. You should talk about the music, too. I was wondering what you thought of those two albums.
These two were fairly standard jazz bop for him, aside from the vocal track. You’ll likely see reissues of Tune-Up, 12, maybe Constellation. Great albums but I would stick to originals if you can.
Great finds my friend!
Thanks B!

Love me some Silverchair. They are the reason I first learnt how to play guitar. The albums Diorama and Young Modern are my faves. Great video bud.
Lotta fun riffs to learn on Freak Show!
