Here is my take; NFL teams on those 53 man rosters have 3 things they have to be able to do. 1) Learn the play book. 2) Study the opposing teams film. 3) Be able to run your routes, and know your playbook. <---- NFL is literally 80% learning chess, and 20% being in shape to execute these things. The NFL is literally you in school again for 6 months out of the year "AGAIN!" If you are an NFL player your out of college, and right back into school again.

I played with Drew's dad in high school, small town Ellensburg Washington. He went on to play for University Washington, then was Drew's coach in Walla Walla Washington. Great guy, religious guy. I played guard and he taught me how to pull out of the line and take out an end (his position) on an end run. I met Drew once when he was a little kid. His grandfather was a state senator and cattlemen (rancher). Too bad I was only 5'8 172# guard. I was very good for high school but got hurt and only played last 3 games. Still was offered scholarships Idaho and Eastern Washington. Wish now I had accepted one of them but knew, though I was knocking bigger guys around the field, that linemen in college were much bigger and had better coaches.
