The weight of plate armor and the resulting immobility are fairly common misconceptions. They are based on tournament armors which were indeed very heavy, because at a tournament you didn't need to be mobile. Combat plate armor was considerably lighter. We are talking about perhaps 30 kilograms, i.e. a bit over 60 pounds. And these armors were designed to balance protection and mobility. You can get on your horse in that on your own, and you can even climb a ladder or do pushups. It is of course a lot more exerting than without armor, but you can do it. There have been numerous trials in recent years that show that, many of them have been carried out under scientific conditions.

In truth, around 1350 or so, temperatures began to drop severely, heralding in what is called "the little ice age", which lasted until around the mid-1700s. So the temperature climb that climate alarmists claim began with the advent of the industrial revolution was actually due to the end of "the little ice age", when temperatures began to climb back up to what they normally would be during a non-glaciation period, which has happened numerous times on this planet.

Very well explained!!! Thank you. I am African and our mentality/ worldview is totally different from that of Europeans. The movies do not explain this feudal society. Instead, we only see the monarchs and nobles in their palaces with their mute servants dressed up serving them, driving their chariots... but I always wanted to understand how Europeans designed their societies and how some were super rich and others utterly poor and could never change their position and the people seem happy to have a rich king while they themselves lived a poverty. It blew my mind but now I understand why Europeans went about colonizing everybody else and wanted more and more land. I understand why they brutalized other peoples on foreign lands, because they actually did that to their own in the middle age, never having fair contracts, instead they were always one superior and one inferior in their psyche. It’s actually their mindset. Plus, this mentality also follows us this day. It has slightly changed but we still have the 1% controlling the 90% of the wealth and the rest of us.

Trade is only good as long as you have something to trade. If you have nothing to trade than what it becomes stagnate. Gift Economy would be a better approach because not all the time does someone have something to offer for trade. Those trades or better gifts to country B would be a much better process. Im glad you didnt fall into the modern day garbage that the Germanic expansion into Britain was peaceful immigration of the Angles Saxons Jutes and yes Frisians, who by the way were already established on the eastern seaboard. One thing though, the Britons in England proper were not exterminated, but were assimilated after their warrior ruling class were wiped out or driven out.

Great video. I'm of the view that feudalism doesn't really exist. A landlord simply gave his land to a subject for yearly rent. This could be a King giving land to a Knight for Knight's service and scutage or a Knight giving land to a peasant for socage (yearly rent in goods or coin). Another word for this is revenue-leasing.

"A longbowman who could be trained in a matter of weeks" That isn't true as far as I'm aware. This is literally your job and I'm just some guy on the internet, so I admit my credentials don't amount to anything by comparison, but I'm pretty sure the truth is it takes a huge amount of training from a young age, boyhood even, to use an English longbow, and that other Europeans at the time didn't invest that kind of training so they couldn't use similar bows even if they did have them.
