Lecture 12 Magic & Witchcraft

Here we explore the origins of magic and chart its development from the classical era into the late medieval period. We then explore how ideas concerning magic transformed into popular conceptions of witchcraft, which led to large scale witch hunts and trials during the late Middle Ages.
