Here we explore the development of the medieval university system that grew in conjunction with urbanization after the year 1100. We further examine the scholastic method, curriculum, and some of the greatest intellectuals of the Middle Ages, such as Thomas Aquinas.

Correction: In the Quadrivium, it is not astrology but astronomy, the actually mathematical art of charting the luminaries and astronomical phenomena.
