I hope they do a complete mechanical rework, Elden Ring should be the sendoff for this sorta demon’s/dark souls style combat. They should do something different like what they did with Sekiro and to a lesser extent Bloodborne. Maybe make a game more focused on positioning rather than s sorta like Monster Hunter.

From´s future will be bright as long as Myazaki´s remains in the drivers seat and they keep their feet on the ground. On the other hand, after 15 years of sucess, the elden ring game of the year award, the investment on the company and them not having to produce for older consoles, there is the risk of them changing in a bad way. what i would like to see: - for them to not be afraid to try new things, instead of doing the same thing overe and over as big companies often do. -step up their graphics and animations game without going full foto realistic mode. -invest both in the rpg and action side of things. In recent years the competition has improved so From cannot relax and they should learn the opposition. - they probably should allow space for new bllod and new ideas. - i would love for them to try new narrative paths. While we love the comunity driven exploration of the lore, i think From should experiment with more common ways to tell a story and present characters. Crazy ideas: -i always wished from to take Final fantasy and give it a spin with the souls formula. That priviledge ended up being given to team ninja but i would still like to see From try their hand at a more classical fantasy style( perhaps with a focus on improving spellcasting?) - could they handle a Vagrant story remake or sequel? -what about a Fighting Fantasy colaboration?

Sekiro really let me down when it first came out. I was coming off of bloodborne which instantly became one of my favorite games ever and sekiro was just not what i was looking for. I gave the game away and i haven't played it since, but maybe your sekiro run can inspire me to give it another go. You can say elden ring has more content than DS3 but if you count repeated bosses as 1 like astel and godskins it's about even Lol
