Cycling the Americas #6 - (Mostly) Rural Mexico

In July 2018 I flew to Vancouver to start a bike trip of the Americas. This is the 6th video, where we cross from Baja to the mainland of Mexico and cycle south to Guatemala. Our group went off at different paces, but I stayed with Chris and Dea to take the smaller roads. We sometimes wild camped, and sometimes the friendly locals allowed us to camp in their gardens, outside their restaurants o...

But this was one of my favourite sections on the trip. Beautiful sce...

    When you went climbing in Rishiri, did you just leave the bike at the camp? Was it safe?

    • @CiaranRawlinson
      @CiaranRawlinson Před měsícem

      I cycled from the Yuni campsite up to the foot of the mountain (arriving at Hokuroku parking) and parked my bike there. I'm sure it happens, but I've never had anything stolen in the 6 years that I've been living/travelling here. That includes usually only locking my bike to its own wheel (so it would be easy to lift if anyone wanted to steal it).
