I'm a beginner, and a perfectionist, so I often get bogged down with trying to make it look perfect which then leads to frustration and a poor painting. I wrote down something you said in this video and will be putting it in front of me: "... it's all about creating an atmosphere rather than a replica." My painting is slowly becoming looser, but this definitely helps my mindset! Thank you! PS: You offered a few suggestions as you painted that were also quite helpful. Beautiful scene!

It doesn't always have to be a sunset :-) The picture turned out really great. Especially these little sketches I find very good to learn and you become more confident when painting.👍

Really like the painting, and the new sketchbook is an interesting size. Not sure about the new camera angle though I’m afraid, think perhaps I prefer the conventional view, but full marks for trying something new.

I like your watercolor painting so much. Since I also use small sketchbooks, I can learn so much from them. I prefer small sketchbooks that I can take with me on the go. Sorry for my English, it's not so good but I hope you understand what I'm trying to say.👍
