    Thank you for the 10 minutes tutorial. I tend to get caught up in the detail and then get frustrated. Giving myself a time limit is a great idea for painting more “loose”. I really like your painting!!

    Love the sky especially, but the whole spread is lovely.

    Love your dramatic skies, this is a great painting especially given the time it took. Many thanks for sharing it🙏

    Nice work in just ten minutes! I suspect that it would take me several years (I haven't picked up a brush since the very distant seventies). Thank you very much for sharing your talent with us and for encouraging us to paint.
    And you have a beautiful, retro Kikkerland clock like a similar one I had in my youth. A significant coincidence indeed.

      Hopefully it will inspire you to pick up a brush again? It only takes 10 minutes to put some colour on the paper. As for the clock, I love clocks and watches - I have a retro Cube Clock on the wall of the studio too.

    Nice but I still like it more without the right figure (grass) or even without both of them since it took some of the space feeling away.

      Yes, I realised as soon as I started those bits that they weren't needed, but at that point it was too late 🤦🏻‍♂️

      But hey, the idea was to see what would happen in 10 minutes. And it turns out we STILL can’t figure out when to stop😂 This is a great challenge-and I appreciate your openness about the criticisms.

      Thanks, I want my channel to be an open and honest account of creating art so I'll sometimes post a video when things go a little....differently. As I say to my workshop students, we don't make mistakes - we make artistic discoveries 😂

      @@aesea57804 Dont think I do not do this same mistake over again and again :D But surely we HAVE to. Hit the overwork is the only way you know it is overworked...

      @@andrasolivier7185yes! There's some things which can be taught, this is one thing that has to be learnt the hard way!

    The large tree is in the wrong place. Further left would be better. Leave out the grass.

      Is this considered a sable brush?

    • @jamiesuggartist
      @jamiesuggartist  Před 2 měsíci

      I would say a synthetic sable, it acts very similar to sable in that it holds a lot of water and releases it slowly onto the paper.
