The Waltons - Jim Bob Scares a Bear
Here is a video that talks about Bigfoot banging rocks together.

The Waltons - Season 4 Episode 15 - THE SEARCH (1976)
Momma, Jim Bob and Elizabeth are lost in the woods after the truck goes off the road on a detour and they go chasing a chicken that gets loose from the back of the truck. Soon the men are out searching for them and Grandma, Mary Ellen and Erin are at home anxiously working and waiting it out. Grandma has great faith that the Lord is with them and that they know everything they need to do to survive. Grandma knows that in times of trouble especially, there is nothing else, but God.
This is my favorite episode of The Waltons, the story is by Ellen Corby (Grandma) and it stayed with me from childhood because my father always talked about it. The show has many things in it you can do to stay safe when lost in the woods. I have always carried two rocks when out walking in nature just in case I should run into a bear. Thankfully, I have not. I always wondered if it was true that hitting two rocks together would scare a bear every time and then I heard a Bigfoot story not long ago that confirmed it. Two men were in a boat on a lake approaching shore when over the crest of the hill to their right there comes a big Bigfoot shocking the boaters and as they watch it off to the left over another hill comes down a huge bear towards the shore. They then watch as Bigfoot spots the bear and proceeds to pick up two large stones and hits them together, whereas the bear hears it and flees quickly back over the hill. Bigfoot researchers out there know all too well that throwing and hitting rocks is something Bigfoot does, so it may actually be true that hitting two rocks together scares a bear. Hope I never have to find out.

Theres an old spinning wheel in the parlor, spinning dreams of a long long ago, spinning dreams of an old fashioned garden, and a maid with her old fashioned bow, Sometimes I think that i can hear her in the twilight, at the organ softly singing ole black Joe, Theres an old spinning wheel in the parlor, spinning dreams of a long long ago
I think it's actually old fashioned beau
I heard it this morning on Me Tv. Had to find it.
Rip Tom Bower😢

RIP Tom Bower 😢
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL MOMENT for all of THEM
Finally I found this song again in Walton
Unbelievable actress. She knew exactly how to play that character. I had some relatives in NW Florida, who thought, acted, and dressed like Martha Corrine all the way into the 60's. They've all passed beyond, and we will never see their like again! Of course I was very young then. I wish That I could have a few minutes just to sit on the porch with them and talk about their times.
FDR was a good man. But, his policies unwittingly set this Country on a course that would only, could only, spiral downward and usher in the immorality, narcissism, division, and lack of patriotism.
Yes !! He took action and protected himself, his mother and little sister !! ♥️💯🐻🪨
It must have been fun back then, quilting parties, barn raisings. People working for each other.
👍🥰💛💐🌹🌸😍
Oh how I wish mad Migan and general kale had a longer fight 2 1/2 minutes. They could’ve pushed it to five….
I'm literally waiting for my person to sing this to me..as the days pass
God 🪁🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊💓
Willow: We're all powerful sorcerers. Give us the baby, or we'll destroy you. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Kael: Kill them. Have a laugh while you still can, Kael.
Love this
Love this part

She’s a babe
Years after watching the first episode of MASH as a child and this show still makes me laugh, but parts like this, they make me cry because I FEEL the raw emotions from the acting. At times I'm not even sure the actor is acting when it comes to parts like this. That is why this will always be a beloved show for me. Even in 2024.
There is a mention of this beautiful song in my English literature book and that's what has brought me here! So peaceful! : )
Pum pum
Man, they pulled a nice guitar from back in the corner there for Merle!
What a great actress Ms Bondi was. I remember this episode so well. Youvkbow when someone has to leave their home that they spend most of their lives at, it hurts so much. She played this part so wonderfully. RIP Beulah Bondi.
Ben and Karts sister in the Walton's are sweet Together for this song.
He said god is listening, but I have to help myself. Now if I accept Jesus in my heart I’ll get to walk beside him, in the kingdom of heaven. Did you hear what I said?! Walk! Beside him! In the kingdom of heaven! Well kiss my crippled ass god is listening
Brandon you will never get to heaven
My great grandpa was born and raised in Lexington North Carolina, he told me during 1945 when he was 7 or 8 years old, his family walked miles to see the FDR Funeral Train pass by Salisbury and he claims he witnessed a soldier, a marine, a sailor, a coast guardsman, and an airman standing beside of President Roosevelts casket. It's outstanding to hear such a story from your own kinfolk.
One of my favorite scenes from the entire series. Mrs. Bondi in this scene is simply amazing and Richard Thomas as well as he listens to her in silence.
My great great grandmother was the sister of Walter Clinton Hamner, the real Grandpa Walton, I wonder if Martha Corrine is my great great grandma
I was thinking about this scene from the Waltons today. One of my favorites. Thanks for posting. Thanks youTube ❤
So cute. My favorite version of I'll Fly Away.
MaryEllen was a snotty, disrespectful, hateful witch
Mary Ellen was a strong woman who knew what she wanted and didn't try to use feminine 'wiles' on a man. She had grit and a backbone like her grandma. Curt was the perfect match for her. Love those two ❤
@@sbella6719 she came across as unhappy all the time.
@@nancydavis4618 you think so? I always thought of her as defiant because she never wanted to fit the mold that was expected of women in those times, like when grandma insisted on that quilting party for her. I felt Mary Ellen was ambitious and dreamed of a world beyond Walton's mountain. I liked David but felt Curt understood her and knew how to deal with her as a husband and a doctor. Really hated when they killed him off and brought back a completely different character. Sorry if I came across as disagreeable😊. I was just super excited to see this clip on CZcams. One of my all time favorite TV scenes at the beginning.
@@sbella6719 I love getting others opinions as how ppl present themselves.
