Marco Island is my favorite go to beach in Florida . I love those restaurants n yes DOREEN CUP OF JOE IS A MUST TO EAT BREAKFAST. GREAT TASTES N CHOICES BE BACK NEXT YEAR I STAYED AT APOLLO CONDO BEACH OCEAN FRONT N IT WAS FABULOUS SUNSET GRILL GREAT DRINKS n by the way omg delicious huge onion rings . Apollo a great place to stay also staff is wonderful n everything is right there food pool ocean beach sand condo porch restaurant below condo right in Collier can't get lost down one side n up the other side .

I would go there on day trips with my family in the mid-60s from Western Suffolk County. The place was largely nice uncrowded beaches and Montauk fishing Fleet stations. In 1981, with the incredible explosive growth of the stock market, the yuppies targeted The Hamptons along with Montauk, and they commercialized the place to death , and made the place an expensive madhouse, and destroyed its quiet quaintness 😢

Do your research before moving to FL a lot of people not from here are just trying to sell you a dream. Unless you’re a Republican getting away from a commie state and will vote Red cool. Otherwise do us all a favor and stay where you are.

IF YOU TAKE THE TRAIN TO LONG BEACH, WHEN YOU GET OFF THE TRAIN YOU WILL BE SURROUNDED BY HOMELESS HERION ADDICTS BEGING YOU FOR MONEY OR A CIGARETTE. THEY ARE ALL DRUNK AND HIGH, COLLECTING CANS OUT OF THE GARBAGE PAILS. THE SUPERMARKET NEXT TO THE TRAIN STATION IS DEPLORABLE! THE CHARACTERS HANGING OUT AND WAITING TO STEAL FROM CARS SO THEY CAN GET HIGH. ONCE YOU GET TO THE BEACH IT COST $20 A PERSON, AND REMEMBER, THERE ARE ‘NO DOGS OR ANIMALS ALLOWED, NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED, NO SMOKING ALLOWED, NO ROLLAR BLADING, NO SKATEBOARDING, NO BARBECUE ALLOWED, NO SCOOTERS OR E-BIKES ALLOWED. YOU WILL SPEND OVER ONE HOUR LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO PARK; AND LONG BEACH HAS ‘SPECIAL OFFICERS’ WHO LOOK TO WRITE AS MANY TICKETS AS THEY CAN FOR ANY VIOLATION. AT NIGHT ITS WORSE, THE CROWD IS INSANE AND YOU MAY GET ROBBED, FOR REAL. LONG BEACH IS NO JONES BEACH, NO JERSEY SHORE, THERE IS NOTHING, NOTHING HERE. THERE IS NO POOL HALL, NO MOVIE THEATER, NO RIDES, NOTHING. THIS PLACE IS FILLED WITH A BUNCH OF CORRUPT POLITICIANS WHO KEEP FILLING THEIR POCKETS AND DO NOTHING FOR THE COMMUNITY.

Been there many times. It's really nice except it gets way overcrowded. We Love it though. Beautiful place to be and everyone wants to be there.

I stayed here in April and it is by far the BEST JW property on the beach in Florida i have stayed at. Sunsets are breathtaking from Torsoro the rooftop restaurant. And the food was AMAZING !!! Pizza place was very good as well for a more reasonably priced meal. Already booked a trip in a few months for June counting down the days to go back 😊

What's the best option for you to stay? marco island or Naples? how many days ? if you have any recommendations for a city to visit near Miami I would appreciate it

Keewaydin is the best destination for boater's and beach lovers in Southwest FL. I love coming here whenever I can, and it's a beautiful ride from Naples or Marco Island.

Sami's! Right on Collier near the Marco Beach Ocean Resort. Casual local joint. The best Italian is Sale E. Pepe behind the Marco Beach Ocean Resort. Right off of Collier as well. Also, the best breakfast spots are Hoots and The Red Rooster (pass on Delany's).

My nonna and nonno bought a condo here in the 60s, and a bunch of their friends did too. The island is different than it was when i was a kid growing up visiting in the 90s and 2000s but i still love it

My family would go down to Marco every spring break and rent a house. Place genuinely feels like a second home and I want to go back so bad. I LOVE Nacho Mamas Mexican restaurant down there. Some KILLER daquiris!
