I’d try thinning your Express paints with water or maybe flow improver instead of the medium, maybe the paint medium is the issue that’s causing the paint layers to rip.

Your version of Plague Lord Skrolk was in resin? I had the one from the 90s and it was pewter. I had no idea they moved it into resin. Also, love your videos.

Blood splatter, I have put blood red on a brush and then blown through a straw ( like the ones you drink through 😂) it’s worked pretty well. Not that yours doesn’t look great. Mine looked more like a crime scene 😂

Now I want to work on painting some models, and you think your pile is large, I have 1000's of models from as far back as early 90's that are still in sealed box's. So great for you🎉

I get that primer separation occasionally. If always credited to me not washing my minis before priming or scrubbing to hard with my dry brush.

Those are awesome paint jobs. There is a lot of wisdom applied with the paints. I like it.

Man. I haven't painted in 20+ years. I used to use Armory primer & Ral Partha paints (and a mix of some other stuff). Watching some new painting videos, it feels like a totally different world. From technique to style to tools. And hell, half the companies I used to buy miniatures from are gone.

Always a joy to see your smiling face. It was fun watching you paint the minis. However, now, when I see you, I think of your movie. Because those videos were really, really fun. How about at the end of a video, you give us one sentence saying something like… The movie is going great, or… had a tough week working on the movie. More inspiration. Thank you. Got a huge garage sale to get through this weekend. Emptied out half the basement. A lot of stuff removed upstairs too. With all that clutter removed, my Pile of Opportunity is now exposed. Hopefully I can get into it next week. The ogre skin looks great. Ok it's 4:30am and I am supposed to be getting my prep going for my Saturday morning air shift. I love how my work has me working on the weekend. But hey. I love my work. I have not played any War Hammer since 1993. Yep I still remember my last game. It was one of the few where I won. I was not very good at it. I loved that figure. You just gotta love the Nurgle. I know a few that do. I am not the first person in line when it comes to picking out the grosser kind of figures, but I would not mind giving that one a try. Over the last few weeks I have been repainting some 1/64th scale figures for a Slot Car Layout. I do love the way you used many of the colors to get the effects and the highlights you wanted. I have a habit of naming my figures when they are finished. I am wondering if you do the same. I know more then a few figure painters that name the figures they painted. I am not sure if that is normal or not. Ok Back to work. I hope your movie endeavors are working well.

Your story about the neighbors & their Nergle house gave me a flashback. Probably 35 years ago. My brother's roommate went to help their downstairs neighbors move out & he came back white as a sheet. This dude was a big biker. Looked like a young, buff version of Andrew Dice Clay, but he was in bad shape. Apparently the apartment was a nightmare. The two things I'll always remember him talking about was the sandwich that had grown onto the fireplace mantle and the cat turd that had eaten a hole in the top of their TV. Gah. Haven't thought about that in years. Thanks.

I haven't painted a fig in 20 years. But man, I do miss painting monsters. I bought a lot of chaos beasties just to have fun painting them. I was never very GW exclusive, even when I was playing Warhammer. My core army was a barbarian one, with mostly house rules. I did a lot of Skaven, too. But I didn't like how that army started going so heavy on specialty pieces. Part of what made Skaven Skaven in my mind was the overwhelming numbers, not giant bells and cannons or whatever. But I loved Slaanesh & Tzeentch for the great (and disgusting) critters. Nurgle was also fun. Khorn I found generally boring, but there were occasional kickass figs for him, too.

Are you going to start playing Mordheim ? Perfect opportunity to make cool terrain for a skirmish game. Might be a cool series for solo play videos!

Hmmm. Lore questions about Papa Nurgle huh? Looks at user name. Yes. Alright. The shield is a fly BTW. Those were wings, not wood. I picked Nurgle all those years ago after reading The Lost and The Damned. You see, in the Grim Dark, Papa Nurgle knows his ultimate fate and that knowledge is a power. And that makes Papa Nurgle a happy chum. It's why he covets and cavorts with his Nurglings. Like a sick ol' grandpa, happy for every extra day with the grandkids. He knows that at the end of all things, when all has rotted or rusted away, even all the other creatures of the Warp are gone, then he too will rot to nothing. All the while smiling and humming a little tune.

Sorry dear viewer's. I explained Plague bells to him... They were, as the title suggests, used as a warning system during the plague. And GW loves to work some history into their mini's. Which is why Skaven have them as well. And this is why we love GW mini's... Despite their ridiculous cost.

Historical correction . Bubo, or Buboes, are an actual thing. They are a feature of the Bubonic plague. And that's where it gets it name. They only appear in specific area's, not all over, Ala Nurgle, but it's close enough in this case. Also. YUCK! Subscribed! Carry on.
