My favorite games to this day are 1- CVX and I didn't really like 4 and 5 a lot when I was younger but the remake gave me a deep love for RE4 I can't lie 😂

This games atmosphere and the way they adapted the story of pinocchio are so cool to me, i love the parrying mechanics and the way the levels arent hard to explore, the npcs feel alive and unique, and the records are beautiful, i cant wait for their next game

Soulsbornes & Souls likes are not my thing. But I was so intrigued by Lies of P that I dove in. I loved it and played it over and over to get 100% on Xbox & Playstation. Just waiting for the DLC now. I'm still not interested in the genre as a whole and I'm fine with that.

More subtle on Leon’s background? Tf that’s supposed to be part of his character is that he’s struggling with the reality of raccoon city destruction, and how he didn’t save pretty much anybody outside of Claire and Sherry. Plus he’s a reoccurring character. Why would you want subtle hints to his background and not know it if you’re a new player?

I love that the subtitle/closed captions spell out Alan Wake as Alan "Wick" 😅 it's a comparison and is implied heavily during the reveal and release of the game.

17:36 LIES!!! The Malun district was hell for me that place is build like a never ending Labyrinth it took me an hour to figure out where the hell where you supposed to go 💀

Wanna hear something funny ? The original Ashley does stay permanently hidden in Trashcans without complaining , can wait , doesn't run in circles , sometimes points out and hints what to do , oparates mechanisms , and since you can't just turn your camera 360 degrees , when she follows you and turns her head , she is hinting that an enemy is behind you , at one section is even the one escorting you and to top it all off , she never bragged about it ! Lets talk about some of the story : When they both jump out of the windows she asks "What's gonna happen to us " not just "me" saying that she is also worried about Leon . When Ashley introduced herself to Luis and Luis gets weirded out by her , she gets embarrased , showing that she has a softside . After they meet Luis again Ashley was the one who asked what he dropped making Luis explain himself . She even wanted to help him because she saw that he was fighting alongside Leon , she saw that Luis was actually helpfull and trustworthy . Let me remind you that Ashley has great observation skills and can notice enemies from behind . Even gave a headsup about those waves . At that dumb trap scene , we can see that Leon was already heading towards that trap . So if Ashley didn't cough up blood the second time , thinking she is gonna turn but managing to resist it, resulting in a panik attack and running ahead , then Leon would have gotten trapped instead . After all he did fall for that platform trap . She even apologized for it . After all those traps , she suspected the oparating chair was gonna be another trap even asked Leon if he really wants to do this , worried that she ends up getting Leon killed . After a whole year I decided to take a closer look and the more attention I paid to the remake the less it made sense and the more attention I paid to the original I started picking the peaces together and that's not even all . She was never a nobody and if you can take care of her , then she can take care of you . But if you prefer a mary sue , that's fine by me .

Great video but I have a minor nitpick, at one point in the video you said that the reason why the original RE4 didn’t allow you to aim while moving was because it was impossible, but that is just not true there were many games that allowed you to aim while moving before and after RE4 came out. The reason that they didn’t let you do that in the original game was probably an intentional gameplay decision or something that the developers just didn’t think about. (Sorry for any bad grammar)

What I love about LoP compared with FromSoft games is the amount of viable defensive options it provides. In LoP, parrying, blocking and dodging are all equaly viable options each with its pros and cons and with different grades of viability depending what attack are you trying to defend against. Parrying is harder, yes, but that gets countered by the fact you have other defensive options, If you miss the timing of the parry you can just keep pressing the button and block instead, which allows you to then gain the health back in your next attacks like in bloodborne. TLDR In all FromSoft games there is usually only ONE really "best" defensive tool (parrying for Sekiro and dodging for everthing else) and the other defensive options get overshadowed and outclassed, but this is not the case in Lies of P.

I guess LoP is the best nonfromsoft game in the genre. I enjoyed Nioh too, but recycling the areas, and the number of mechanics that instead of adding to the experience, were just a distraction, constantly breaking the rhythm of the game, just spoiled it for me.

Bloodborne is my favorite game of all time and when I heard people comparing this game to it I laughed but after playing it.......I understand. Lies of P is in my top 15 games of all time PERFECT

On this one, you’re just wrong. You are. You might not like the game and that’s fair, but your criticisms are invalid. You might as well review a football game and criticise it for having too much football. Or no basketball. That’s the level of asininity you have delivered here. Some complaints are even your own fault. The door you knew had a boss behind it was red on the map. That means locked. You should have looked and you’d have known not to bother. Why you were even using the Alternate controls they added in the remaster is anyone’s guess. Those are bad, and cause camera issues. But you said nothing about the original tank controls, which are perfect for it. Did you even try those? Do you know they exist? "Knife was a worthless piece of garbage" over footage of you slashing upward…then walking forward into the zombie. That was clearly your fault, for playing so poorly. Complaining about the inventory, defence items (a balancing mechanic), the puzzles…man there is just so much wrong with this 'review' it’s ridiculous. It is the absolute bottom of the barrel of reviews. It is the game review equivalent of Tommy Wiseau’s The Room.

I have no words for lies of P. I was on doubt before i downloaded it. When i started playing , i couldnt stop until i finished it. Playing as p really felt like im the main character, that i am special. The game lets me choose how the npc would feel. Those albums! Ugh dont even get me started with those albums. Absolute masterpiece.

It's hard for me to say but I enjoy lies of p more than bloodborne and from software's other games. Everything overall just feels right and higher quality. The atmosphere, music, story, and combat just clicks. Also, it's the only game I can keep picking up and enjoy. Everything else I just have apathy towards but for some reason the gameplay in this always engages me. I'm not saying other games aren't as good but I have bad physical and mental health where I suffer from burnout on everything else.

Its crazy seeing so many people defend this polished dogshit. Its just bad game design, all these people defending it are either intensely nostalgic or stockholm syndromed out the ass

Great video, first time viewer! And agreed! Lies of P was my GOTY 2023, better than TOTK. I liked it more than Elden Ring (w or w/o dlc) and it ties Sekiro!

I know this was released in 2023, but I put off playing it until after Elden Ring DLC released (which I was mildly disappointed with). Lies of P is a masterpiece of a game. It should be considered for Game of The Year for 2024, because people took time to discover it.

For me, I've got the platinum in the game so yes I obviously think it's good...but I do think that it is still massively overhyped. While I've played around 450 hours total, was it a good time with friends having a laugh? Absolutely. Was it a nice game to dip in and out of without needing much re-learning? Definitely. However do I feel like I experienced anything vastly different in the game past...20-30 hours? No. That for me was my issue with Deep Rock, for 20-30 hours learning and playing through missions a handful of times it's very fun, but past that I just find it very repetitive that I don't know how you would get to the platinum hours I got to without sighing at how many times you had to do the same handful of missions over and over. It's similar to my problem with games like Fortnite, you drop on a map, pick up the same guns you like using, shoot around, try to win, then go back and do the same thing on the same map, with the same guns over and over and over that it's just boring repetitiveness at 15 minute intervals. Deep Rock for me whilst fun to learn and get into got the same way for me after 20-30 hours, so I'd say it's good and fun but not as great as people like to shout about because fans always feel the need to over defend the thing they like.

Finally got round to playing this, finished it a few nights ago. Excellent game. So glad i gave it a go.

Lies of p is pretty dope but i cant say it holds ups to fromsoft lol i wish it had multiplayer. The mechanical enemies have a weird jittery movement that was annoying at first but i like the level design and weapons
