Video für Wohnhaus in Angelburg Lixfeld 19196
After almost 150 years in the same family, now this beautiful house in the countryside is for the first time on the market. It is situated in the small village of Lixfeld about 20min from Dillenburg, the ancestral seat of the House of Orange-Nassau, and birthplace of William of Orange, the father of the fatherland.
The road from Dillenburg to Lixfeld leads through the little known but picturesque Schelderwald, a forest area of about 40 square kilometres with countless hiking and biking path, as well as skiing opportunities in winter. From Lixfeld, you can quickly reach many scenic towns and tourist attractions like Herborn (20min), Burg Greifenstein (30min), and Marburg (40min). The well-known skiing area of Winterberg im Sauerland is just over 1h away.
The house was built in 1877, and renovated and expanded from 1937 to 1987. There are 8 rooms on two stories, a balcony, a landscaped yard with outside seating areas, garages for 3 cars, 2 bathrooms, a partly finished attic, a basement, and too much more to list.
Living costs in this area are astoundingly low. Expect to pay 10 Euro for a pizza, and 15 Euro for a Curry or a large Schnitzel meal. The ridiculously low minimum bid reflects a need for some urgent repairs, like a new roof for about 28,000 Euro. The rest can be done up over time. The house is partly furnished and ready for you to move in!

These two usually have the hacking order very well established, with one being the clear alpha males with dominant black stripes, and the other in light blue subdominant color. this video is amazing, captivating, and breathtaking. Im currently working to setup a similar tank - lake tang community tank with frontosa, rock dwelles, cyps, and maybe even some shellies. Plan is to start in a 6 foot 180 Gallon with intentions to move to a 240 gallon down the road. I know its been a long time, but i havent seen many other simillar examples. Any advice to anyone starting a similar Tanganyikan tank? M biggest concerns are the frontosa eating the other fish, as well as terrirotrial fights between the rock dwelling species. Did you ever see the frontosa attempt to eat the other fish, or have fish disappear overnight? which of the fish bred in your colony? Thanks so much in advance!

      Yeah, I forgot to show that. There is an overflow. I put it in the other tub, but could have been the same one too. It goes into a garden hose and down the drain. Could also go in the garden. Where that overflow sits determines the water level in the tank, which is always exactly the same.

      I bought an ST824 in 1990. It still runs great, it's like a tank. I used it twice so far this year - 2022.The only repair it ever needed was a carb overhaul. Not unusual for a 30 year old engine. The control panel on mine is a bit different. It has 2 reverse speeds, and the throttle is on the engine, not panel. It cost $1299.95 new in 1990, free delivery!

      They get New Life Spectrum 3mm sinking pellets, but that's mostly because the strong current on the surface will such any other food into the filters faster than the fish can get it, and I hate switching off the pumps for feeding.

    This is the ultimate Tanganykan tank I've seen by far, in order for any one to beat this they'll have to go bigger and beet the scape that was created and combination of fish. Haven seen better yet. Still waiting.

    • @fmueller1
      @fmueller1 Před 6 lety

      Thanks! It's not everybody's cup of tea mostly because of the plants and the combination of fish, which is not entirely unproblematic. For example Frontosa females hold too long in the presence of Altos and Synodontis. so it's not the best for breeding purposes. I had to sell this tank about 5 years ago because I moved from Ohio to New Zealand. I am still missing it, but I am working on a slightly larger setup now. Unfortunately there are very few Tanganyikan cichlids available in New Zealand.

    • @fmueller1
      @fmueller1 Před 6 lety

      Thanks for the compliments. I really do like the look, but what I get most criticized for is that it's not particularly natural. The natural habitat of these fish has little or no plant life. While some people struggle with plants, I find tanks without plants extremely difficult to maintain. Plants can out-compete algae for nutrients, which solves a big problem many fish keepers have. They also help with maintaining water quality, and they look great to me. So I guess I went for a look that is natural to some, and unnatural to others. ;-)
