I have a series s which has done fine, but was going to upgrade to a series x this fall. Now I’m 90% sure I’m going to get a ps5, and cancel my game pass and get ps plus. Took a look at the games on there and it’s actually quite decent. I’ll just use the series s to stream Disney plus, Amazon video and Netflix. I can get a ps5 with a disc drive cheaper than a series x without one. What the hell is MS thinking. I tried, I tried to be a good soldier, but it’s time to jump ship.

I agree with your take here, but Sony is in trouble also. The games they make are not sustainable, which is the reason they are selling on pc and trying live service games which have all flopped instead of hell divers 2. Sony has sold consoles this gen based on the strength of ps4. What would be the reason to buy ps6? I know I'm not buying either xbox or ps6. Everything is going to pc. In a way, it seems as if Microsoft will keep Sony afloat with games until Sony can release their big triple A games, which is weird...

Im done with Xbox after this gen. After being down with the X since 2009, they have officially been embarassed in the console war for the last time. This contradictory strategy their employing makes ZERO sense, they basically say: "If you wanna play Xbox games, get a playstation, if you wanna play Playstation games, get a playstation. It seems as if the 3rd party rumors were true, Xbox is the new Sega but with worse 1st party games.

You need to get over it, it’s not like you can’t play games. Xbox will always provide a unique experience on the Xbox platform, plus you have game pass. You don’t get that on PlayStation.

Xbox is making its money thats what they doing. The console business is dead PC and gamepass cloud gaming is where things are headed. You can still play the console you bought but the future is not where things are going.

There are close to 60 million PS5 in the wild with the PS5 pro on the horizon, Playstation 5 has outsold the Xbox 2/1............. I’m a big PlayStation player all day and I don’t think Xbox is killing Xbox what’s killing Xbox his game pass. Because before Xbox started buying all the studios, I was like I need to get a Xbox, but I’m going to wait for the promise that they made when they told everybody the games are coming?, I was like right I did not want to see gears, Forza,etc because there was too many too soon, so I got tired of it bc so I needed something new from Xbox, but they never deliver plus delays and canceled I was like wtf man where are the games? and then game pass was born. I was like cool. I can play anywhere so now I don’t need to get Xbox and now they want to buy everything. I think they should have copy Sony. Give them their own taste of the medicine’s wen a good good game comes out make it exclusive for one year or s six months and that’s it but no, they need to lie like Indiana Jones,what’s the next?, One more thing before they bought all the studios and told everyone the games are coming. Well Spencer has been ranting about "exclusives being bad for players" for quite a while. Maybe that should have been a clue and early warning sign?

People forget gaming has gotten far more expensive than it ever was back in the early 00s. Sure xbox are releasing gamed on PlayStation however remember back to when Jim Ryan said "we'll not launch games on PC" and they did. There also was a bunch of ps games came to xbox (persona 1-3 stray MLB) The only company who won't launch games on rival systems is Nintendo. Because If they did their hardware would die out. Whilst xbox and PlayStation make more expensive games compared to Nintendos titles which is why they're both most likely launching games on rival systems.

Your still going to play them on gamepass for only $17 a month, while the other console gamers will have to pay $70 to play them… for me it’s a smart move from Microsoft. Plus… it’s not like you can only play gamepass on Xbox consoles, now you can play it on a tablet, cellphone or even a Samsung smart Tv. The ABK purchase is part of the problem. Trying to recoup the money has changed Microsoft behavior. Instead of that purchase, they should have spent some money on lowering console prices. A big reason console sales aren’t following previous trajectories is there is usually a price reduction by now. People’s salaries have not kept up with inflation and now their credit cards are maxed out. The consoles are too expensive for them.

I bought a Series X instead of a PS5 because they told me I was gonna get exclusive first party games from Microsoft studios such as Bethesda and Activision Blizzard King via Gamepass. Ive had Gamepass from day one supporting a company thats just lying to me. I dont even play games on Gamepass, except Starfield and Hotwheelz with my son lol. They lied to me. No more exclusives? I don't need Xbox or Gamepass. I'll just buy the games I actually want to play on another platform.

I think it’s about the mindset. One way of looking at it is, all of Xbox’s games are coming out for Xbox, and they’ll always arrive first! In terms of games going to PlayStation, they have said it’s a case by case basis, only because they want more sales. Do they need PlayStation? I suppose it depends on how you view it. I think Xbox views PlayStation gamers as Xbox gamers if they’re playing Xbox games on PlayStation. If they’re serious about playing everywhere. Then in that mindset I suppose it makes sense. More on that in a bit. I’m of the mindset that exclusives matter as it’s how you draw people to your platform. That being said, Xbox has been releasing games on PC for years, so they’re more then just one platform. In some cases you don’t even need to console as you can play directly from a Samsung tv… Recently PlayStation has followed suit, they’re also releasing games on PC. A lot of people think it’s only a matter of time before PlayStation releases their games day and date on PC like Xbox… who really knows if they will. I saw a story recently where it was mentioned what if the next Xbox console incorporates Steam. If that happened you’d essentially be playing all of Xbox’s games, all of the PC Steam games, including PlayStations games that come to PC all on your next Xbox. If that were to happen would it really matter if some Xbox exclusives traveled to PlayStation? Then suddenly the narrative changes… Why would it matter, and then the mindset would be flipped on its head, would you need a PlayStation if you can play everything on Xbox? I don’t know, there’s too many variables. As a gamer I like exclusives and I probably always will. But I’m of the mind set that I’m going to play most of my games, including 3rd party games on Xbox anyways. So if a game also releases elsewhere I’m still playing it on my Xbox. I’m not losing anything. - That alone is reason enough for me to continue on Xbox. I do kind of wish Indiana Jones, and all of the Bethesda games etc would just stay exclusive to Xbox, and if you wanted to play these games then you need to buy an Xbox. I always found it weird to say "Why do i have an Xbox if these games are coming to PlayStation" if you already own an Xbox. Why do you care what games someone else can play on the other console? I am interested in the games that I have access to. I sing about the games I like to the roof tops and think more people should play them.

It’s not sustainable. ESPECIALLY after they bought ABK for 75 BILLION dollars and need to make a return on investment. I’ve owned every Xbox up to the XBOX one and then jumped ship. I have no problem at all spending 70 dollars to buy games coming from studios like Sucker Punch, Santa Monica, Housemarque, Naughty Dog, Kojima Productions etc and all the other awesome 3rd party stuff and support those studios and their products. You can’t blame studios for not putting their games on Xbox when everyone over there only spends 10-15 dollars a month.

Just buy a PC and PS5. You’ll feel a lot better trust me. I was just like you, feeling sad about the Xbox. But trust me, once you get yourself a powerful PC. All the Xbox feelings will slowly go away. Reason why, is because you’ll have access to all Xbox games anyways, @ better frame rate and resolutions. Also while still playing a console I.E. PS5 😊

I've mever owned an xbox. I dont lole Microsoft as a company. Both PlayStation and Nintendo keep me happy. Now im running Linux on my PC and im not going back to windows.
