Glad to see your doing alot better. It felt weird not seeing a video from you for so long. Heres my of favorite of 2024 so far. Ive actually only played 4 new games, and 2 game expansions. Ive mostly replayed games this year. Anyways heres my rankings :). 6. Helldivers 2: Some of the most fun ive ever had in a horde shooter ever. I finished most of the content and reached max level which took me about 45 hours (-7 hours stuck in constant loading screens while the servers shit the bed). I think this game has a great gameplay loop, but it just needs more content and more interesting things to do on the maps. Will 100% come back when they add a new enemy race. 5. Suzerain Rizia: As someone who adores politics and political strategy. Suzerain is perfect for me and is now one of my favorite games of all time. Rizia is the expansion which adds a new nation to play as, and while its no where close to as good as the base games nation, it still is great content. 4. Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree: I re fell in love this year, with Elden Rings basegame after not playing it since release. So i was insanely hyped for the expac this year. While i think its amazing in many ways, its also pretty disappointing in others. It has all of the amazing exploration and fantastic artstyle from the basegame, along with the super insane amount of content for sooo many builds. On the other hand, the Lore, the fragments, and the boss battles are a mixed bag. I dont hate the fragments but they completly change the base games leveling system, for this big of a change the way that they explain it is simply, terrible. Boss battles are fantastic and awful, so many bosses have hard to see/annoying to dodge abilities that take up the entire screen. The sidequest lore is fantastic, but the main story is a letdown especially at the end, this wont matter to many but i think the lore is the best part of Elden Ring. 3. Esports Godfather: I love LoL esports and i have been watching it since 2015. This game parodies LoL but its also a esports manager, a card game, a autobattler, and a moba, wrapped in one. It sounds like it would never work. But it really really does, and it had me hooked for 71 hours this year. 2. Persona 3 reloaded: I never played the OG game, mostly because the PC port was awful and i didnot care to emulate it because the game was getting remade anyways. P3 for me is no where near p5 or p4s characters, story, artstyle, and atmosphere. The plot is rough, the story is filled with characters who are annoying or who are so out of place its impossible to take them seriously. Still some of the characters are great, Fuuka is up there with some of the best, and the confidants have to be the best in the series. The game has the best combat in the series, its loud flashy and full of colour, and has great persona management. Also the music is so damn good definitely my favorite OST of the year so far. 1. Like a Dragon 8 Infinite Wealth: This is one of the best Yakuza games and my favorite game so far this year. After sitting on it for quite a while ive come to terms that there are some great things and some rough things about this game. Honolulu is fantastic and is the best location in the franchise, other than Kamurocho. The new characters are great, the music is fantastic, and the game has great combat with tons and tons of options to play. While it does have good combat the difficulty is all over the place and some of the balance is awful. The plot is also really rough, with the story having a good start and with a rough ending. After the halfway point i just found the story to be really bland and it felt bored of itself. Even with those issues theres alot of really heartwarming moments in this game that made me tearup and some of the best moments of my year has been just screwing around in Honolulu with the gang.
Man hearing everyone praise Infinite Wealth makes me regret not getting around to the Yakuza games earlier lol. I might start chipping away at those sometime soon, I always looked at it as a series to play in retirement, but by then RGG will have released 90 more games lol. Great list tho homie. I know a lot of people are on a similar wave with you, in regards to HD2. Im still stunned by that game’s popularity. If they can keep up support for it, that’ll be a juggernaut for years to come. Appreciate the kind words, everything is looking up thankfully, so content should be back on a regular schedule. Gonna try not to over do it, just to be safe, but definitely striving for weekly uploads🙏

Yeah I lost a good bit of weight when I was on nothing but the IV’s, it killed my stamina. But slowly getting everything back in working order! I appreciate the support!! 🙏
Depends on the type of disc, Blu Ray discs that we use now are damn near perfect imo. Holds a ton of data, incredibly durable, etc… but pre Blu Ray, cartridges definitely reigned supreme I would say.

Surprised how far down your list Rebirth is BUT I totally understand how you feel about Cloud. I've always found him so BLAHHH! Lol Guardsman gives me absolute Papers Please vibes. Although probably with more humour. Physical Release already put obviously? Gotta check on that one. Im shocked your #1 Loon is a DLC. I went off on them in our Hot Takes video but apparently in this dlc you got an entire game and then some! Always appreciate these. I don't play many games day one or even in the same year but vids like these fill in the gaps for what I may have missed. Take care of yourself, both of you. Happy to have the Ramblin' Bros back
No physical for Lil Guardsman unfortunately 😞 I have my doubts that we’ll ever get one, I know their studio was hit with layoffs earlier this year… & I don’t think the game sold too well, despite it legit being fantastic. Definitely Papers Please, but with humor lol. I think you’d dig it forsure. Rebirth is incredible, but I just don’t have the nostalgia for the original games. I think that elevates remakes to new heights if you’re able to appreciate how far it’s come… I unfortunately don’t have that knowledge with FF. I wouldn’t worry too much about the hole in esophagus stuff, especially if Scott is treating his acid reflux. I refused to ever take antacids, because I thought it would have some long term negative health effects…. Well hey dip shit, you’re not even gonna make it to see those long term health effects if you die from a hole in your throat lmao. So I’ve 100% changed my tune on medicine. I’ll be on PPI’s for the rest of my life, but I’m fine with that as long as it allows me to live long enough to see GTA 6…. & Mass Effect 5… & TLOU 3 🤣
