50 Year Old BMW Pedal Assembly Transformation! | BMW 2002 BUILD
It's time to dive deeper into the manual swap on the 2002 project and in this video, we cover the disassembly and cleaning of the manual pedal assembly for the swap!
While it may not seem like a huge step, this took a ton of work to get done but it is also something very rewarding to do. With this project, I've learned to appreciate the smaller things that make up the car and the BMW 2002, to me, is worth paying attention to those smaller things and this whole pedal rebuild process encouraged me to maintain this type of outlook on this build.
While I may not go as in depth with cleaning/rebuilding every part on this car as I did this part, I will definitely be spending more time than I normally would to get this car fixed up and looking nice than I had done on previous builds đ

I sold the car to a friend a few years ago and it's been down for a bit since he's in the process of turbo charging it. But from what he and I experienced with the coilovers, they are great and have lasted many years so far with no issues!

Has the NVH gone down a bit since you installed these? I hear it gets better with time as the poly gets a bit softer.
I've since switched to the Garagistic supreme shifter as of a year ago but the NVH did go down a bit after running the poly bushings for a bit! To be fair, they weren't too bad imo when I initially installed them either.

Brendan now owns the car! He already painted it, got new wheels, rebuilt the m50 and is now installing a turbo kit on it. Will see if I can shoot an update on this car now that the rebuilt motor is now in it!

i have a question my rear springs aren't in the car as my coilover has a spring can I still do this type of bag install or would i need different coilover on rear cheers
What year is your car? Will this make an m1 body kit on my 1987 32ie? It's pre facelift I believe with the vertical lights
This car is a 1986 and your car should be able to fit an mtech 1 body kit as long as you have the euro bumpers installed as well.

@@wakind4846 Owner of that car would be @kudooman on IG and I believe he was on BC Racing coilovers when we shot this. Now, he has air-cups installed but not 100% sure on the details of that setup.

That m50 was from e36 or m45 ? Why some people change the sump and you not

@@derkm time is ticking. Got my freshly rebuild motor back and jammed the engine compartment to put the new engine and trans back in. Redid all volvĂ brakes on my 68. Canât believe Iâm ahead of you. đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł Iâll be looking out for your new content for sure
@@waterlover haha nice!! I already did a bunch to the car and filmed it back in 2020 but just haven't edited the footage. Car is currently already manual swapped and the whole drivetrain is pretty much refreshed; axles, hubs, transmission, shifter, and some other bits. Those will be the videos you'll be seeing soon along with a new car I recently purchased đ

Its funny you mention that because i just resealed my transmission on this car a few days ago and borrowed my buddy's slim 30mm husky socket because i left my grinded one somewhere else lol
