I am in America and I have lived in a house that you can lock yourself out of. It is a rare lock though, you have to "Lock" the door in the "Unlock" position or it will be locked when you close. There is a button on the bottom of the lock to lock in unlock position and the button on the top releases the lock so it will lock even if you close the door from the outside. The UK not having free speech is a common misconception made by Americans. We totally have free speech up to the point of hate speech or speech that incites violence. We can totally criticise the monarchy and politicians. Speaking ill of the monarchy hasn’t been treasonous for centuries, Britten is a Liberal Democrat. As we nestled power away from the monarchy and shifted it to an elected House of Representatives ie parliament a deal was struck with the monarchy that they could retain a symbolic position of head of state but they wouldn’t have any real power to govern the people or make laws. I don’t think of myself as a subject of the king but rather a citizen of a liberal democracy. For me the monarchy is only useful as a tourist attraction earning for the UK economy. They now pay taxes and work out about net zero or something profitable depending on how you do the calculations. I enjoyed the video.

In my family, and I come from a huge family, on Christmas Eve (the 24th) we have a celebration dinner at someone's house. The next day, Christmas Day, is when we open our gifts from under the Christmas tree. It's a more relaxed day and if we visit or receive visitors it's like grandparents or siblings. Chill day.

Guns: I always go to a shooting range when I'm in the USA, it's fun! Having said that, it's ridiculously easy to get guns, even when you can't handle them. Look at the stats: the murder rate is the USA is 5 times higher than most European countries where gun ownership is very much restricted and illegal to carry them, only shooting ranges

It's funny that you say nudity is more accepted in the UK. I'm a Dutchman living in the UK for 25 years and I still find the Brits very prudish. In the Netherlands we go to the sauna nude, women and men together. Nudity is not associated with sex, it's just how you were born. I guess it's all relative and how you were brought up.😀
