primitive survival, stone knapping, charcoal burning, prospecting, metalurgy, pottery, and all the mechanics in the game were not invented by any game. these things were used by the man kind since we stared eating cooked meat and our brains got bigger. so nobody can claim these as their own unique mechanic even if its the first game to implement such mechanic.

its not bad to want to branch out and make different content, do what makes you happy. but around the 2 minute mark, youre practically blaming your audience here for not watching videos they may not care about is kinda slimy. there are good and bad ways to transition. whenever you make a hobby your livelihood, you WILL burn out. you WILL not always enjoy it. to expect it to always be fun is just naive. i dont want this to come off as rude, but i just think practically blaming your audience in the beginning, even if its not your intention like you said, it really came off that way.

One of the reasons Minecraft is so successful is because of the progression that is already in the game if you want to play a game with progression just play a different game

Minecraft has many, many manyyy outdated systems. So much of the game feels barren and in need of a facelift. The 4 that stick out to me and are in need of a rework the most is in no particular order, enchanting, the end dimension, early game progression, and generated structures (exploration)

I mean I would 1. move to a cheaper living situation if $1.5k is not enough you live in a too expensive place if you day job does not pay that well. 2. And the main bit You have 23.3k subs not 1M... Why are you expacting to always see over 3k views from your subs assuming a 100% sub rate exactly that is not normal at all... So I would grow the little number not rely on the big number... 3. Why not both? like the Minecraft connect is your money maker why not treat is as such? A other content as your outlet?

I am currently playing through a sky block world. It’s brutal only having access to iron through zombies. That experience made me appreciate the default progression on a normal world. Stone and wood tools are just no fun to use. They break blocks too slowly and shatter after a stack or a stack and a half of mining. I would rather spend my time mining or building than constantly recrafting trash tools that break blocks at a subpar speed. I rarely play Minecraft as a survival game. For me it’s more of a building game with the occasional action adventure elements with the bonus of being able to create farms and factories through redstone and abused game mechanics. I play Skyblock for the added challenge and slower progression so I am willing to sit through the boring moments for the sense of accomplishment. When I play regular survival I am not playing for challenge or to survive, but to build and thrive. The early game grind just slows down my ambition and goals. Your implementation feels more like a game mode that is dedicated to the challenge and thus has a different set of expectations going into the mode. I respect it in that context, but I would never want this to become the default experience. I would hate playing new worlds or servers if I had to slog through the early game just to do the things I actually want to do. I do like how you increased the durability of the tools, but I feel all the extra items added would be a little annoying simply because Minecraft already has a massive inventory problem. Maybe if stack sizes were increased by 2X or 4X then that would fix that headache. Though that is another issue entirely.

Honestly I feel like minecraft is dragged down by a bunch of minor systems which needlessly punish you though enchanting is a nightmare. Enchanting feels like I'm pulling for artifacts in genshin impact, but somehow genshin outdoes it because at least you can use garbage artifacts to level up good ones. Like yeah it feels like ass when I want a crit chance stat and it upgrades defence 8 times but at fucking least there ARE Defense scaling characters. Minecraft just has multiple enchantments which just only exist to kill a piece. (weapon/armor/enchanted item) I know these are fighting words but enchanting and EXP are the most agonizing features in this game. I get a bad artifact upgrade rng and I go "well shit I need to do that again at least I can feed this one to the new one" and do a 3 min combat challenge a few more times. I get screwed over by enchanting and I have to haul my ass down to the exp farm and sit there doing absolutely nothing but swiping at a monsters ankles for ages. IT straight up punishes you for hoarding exp but also requires you to do so to get anywhere. That isn't "working for rewards" its having the game arbitrarily make my life a living hell because I don't know how to make the most elaborate mob farm known to man. It's "challenging" in the way that emptying a sandbox with nothing but your hands is "challenging". There's no clever solution, nothing to outsmart, nothing to capitalize upon it's just an utterly unpleasant experience. This is why mending is so prevalent not a single person alive wants to go through the nightmare of enchanting their gear again. It's busted because Enchanting is broken, not overpowered "broken" it just doesn't function. The part where you have to grind and enchant gear is the part of any world that makes me quit, It's just annoying plain and simple. Gathering materials at least lets me HAVE said materials afterwards imagine if you smelted iron and it just had a 60% chance to give you nothing, that would suck right? so why does enchanting work like that????

I have NO problem with modern minecraft except the microtransactions and the world gen being so claustrophobic, No room for big creative builds. If you wanted to your gonna have to make your own land by terraforming but lets be honest who likes doing that??

At the end of the day, it doesnt actually matter. If 75% of the ideas in VS were taken from TFC, that doesnt matter a lick. Because of one important thing. VS, is a standalone game, and TFC is a mod. Those who make the "with a new coat of paint" argument, are simply ignorant to game design. Not a bad thing, its not essential knowledge. But theyre clearly ignorant of the immense time and work that goes in to building a standalone game over a mod. The mod gets to work with minecraft as a base game. The standalone, has to build everything from the ground up. The mod has to code its new features. The standalone has to code _everything_ In this way, TFC took a marker to the Mona Lisa, added a hat, gave her bags under her eyes, painted her nails and drew a ship in the backround. VS on the otherhand, bought a canvas, paint supplies, and recreated the Mona Lisa, while also including those things and a bit more. TFC posted it to their deviant art page for free VS sold it as an original work. Saying VS "stole from" TFC is to say TFC "stole from" Minecraft. But folks wont say that. Because both are ignorant and ridiculous statements. The VS devs put way more time and effort into their product. Anyone can come up with ideas. Fewer can make them a reality on an already existing work. And fewer still can make the reality from scratch. It doesnt matter to me, because the VS devs made a game, not a mod, and it has its own identity

I was playing a homo sapiens waterworld game on VS yesterday, while i overheard my father listening to something about neanderthals and what our ancestors had to suffer through because of them. Made me realize the Homo sapiens mode would massively benefit from the addition of other human tribes, and a reskin of Drifters into neanderthals that hunt and kill other humans.

Terraria is an "action adventure" sandbox game. Stop comparing Minecraft to Terraria, and stop making me sit through 14 minutes of the entire history of Terraria and the story and plot lines and character arcs and thematic end credits and after credits shorts. Jesus holy christ what is the opening of this damn video. You know the most re-watched frame of the video is where the Terraria discussion ends? So stop comparing Minecraft to games that are built on progression and enemy AI. There are PLENTY of mods for Minecraft to increase the depth to the game and I'm sure more people playing these mod packs than the 25,000 online Terraria. Minecraft is like the title suggests - mining and crafting. And then you mine more stuff, and then you craft more stuff. The added depth to Minecraft since 1.20 to appease idiotic opinions about competitive gaming and challenging gameplay is making the game worse to play when your are JUST TRYING TO MINE AND CRAFT SHIT AS IS IN THE NAME OF THE GAME. Now I try and dig around my world - to strip mine, or find an abandoned mineshaft, and I have to go through or around all these stupid new structures that get added to "make mining harder". Like the deep dark biome with the Warden boss, or the newest one - trial chambers built out of the most useless block in the game copper. They also seem to have changed the height of the Y level on the map so alot of player automated redstone farms are out of render distance when you are deep underground - either in the new biomes or strip mining for diamonds. The beauty of it is that you can choose a version to play on before the Y level change or before the Nether biome update and load that old version of minecraft to play on, simplifying the split player base issue. I know nobody made it to the end of this paragraph but I just thought a horrible ranting video deserved a horrible ranting comment so I made sure to try my best :) peace

This is a pretty bad tip, but Ive mainly only watched your OTHER videos, there IS a bunch of people who WANT to see your other stuff... its just minecraft is at a downfall and video games are growing stale... all I could say for you to do if you want money and to break the system.... Make another brainrot channel on the side with popular topics and poor editing and acting. I know this is bad advise but I hate seeing good creators like you do poorly. -Love a worried viewer.
