    I see your budget - for what it is. --- PP is more expensive than Siem Reap - where I would much prefer to be living ! --- ? --- 25% less in SR is about $1250 / mo. and quite friendly. > Not bad either place compared to the US !!!

    I live in Thailand on the coast, don’t think I could live anywhere inland in SE Asia except by the sea, especially if this hot season is going to get worse year on year. I still don’t need to use my Aircon, so my electric bill is usually around $12 a month for a 48sqm condo! Apart from that my budget is similar to yours, though I have a Thai partner as well

      @quanthachjourney Před 2 měsíci

      Hey Roy, thanks for sharing. That's amazing how low your electricity bill is. Also, being able to live right nex to the sea at such an affordable cost. I hear many great things about living in Thailand also!

    Sounds like you have a good life. -- Eating out can be expensive if done a lot. > 2024 as I post my comment - and in the Philippines - a Big Mac - 'meal' - is only $3.85 ! -- 12" Subway is $4.00. - - - I know Cambodia doesn't have McDonalds. --- They are different countries but offer cheap cost of living - both '''can be''' up to 70% less than the US average ! --- Your budget would be really good in the Philippines also. 🤗 Thanks for sharing all that. 🙏 👍 🍺

    Your cost of living is way too expensive compared to average Cambodian people. Average monthly cost of living in Cambodia is around 200-300usd per person. You must have a nice job here. Somehow you say Khmer food names are really sound like native Khmer.

  • @yourtrustedpersonalityguide

    Thank you for your insight. I would appreciate if you could shed more light on this APP. 1) Is this APP better than GRAB? 2) When you make a booking with PassApp, do you need to indicate your pickup location or do you only need to enter the destination you want to go to? 3) Would you advise to book a tuktuk using this APP upon arrival at Siem Reap airport to the hotel, or is it advisable to arrange airport transfer in advance before arrival? I reckon that the advance pre-arrangement might be more expensive than booking it on the spot at the airport? Thank you.

    • @quanthachjourney
      @quanthachjourney Před 4 měsíci

      Hi, thanks for your comment. Great questions, I feel I should answer. 1) I've used both, they're both fairly close in costs, I think it boils down to the individuals taste on the interface style. For some reason I've stuck with passapp and very comfortable with the app style. 2) It automatically detects where you are when booking, however the GPS may be a bit off so I usually move the pickup location manually to my exact location if its incorrect. 3) I would suggest booking when you land. It literally takes just a few minutes for driver arrival. Worst case is 15minutes wait because driver was stuck in traffic during holiday, which is the longest I've had to wait and I've used this app daily. There's usually plenty of drivers especially in the main cities such as Siem Reap and Phnom Penh.

      Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to my questions. I guess you booked the tuktuk from the old airport? With the new airport an hour from the city, I am wondering if it's still advisable to book it upon arrival.@@quanthachjourney
