As an owner of a Mk5 GTI manual for 16 years, I can tell you that they are super reliable!

I bought a 99 Si in March of 1999. Had many others since and that 99 is still my favorite of all. I’ve had two RSX Type S 02 and 06 as well.

The seller did not lie . Your Civic is not a Type-R and is why the plastic tabs do not line up however the dimensions length and width of the front and rear i JDM H emblems is the same dimensions as your Non type R 8th gen Civic . Everyone living in a country that the FD2 type R was not available in that purchased those ( fake ) JDM emblems have to snip off the tabs . Other than that good tutorial hadnt thought about usung heat nor the fishing line to make the swap easier.

8th gen is easily the best

My List: EM1=FA5>FE1>FB2>EG6>EP3>FC1 For me the EM1 and FA5 are tied.

Got a tuned and fbo 8 gen makes about 218 whp and goven I’ve only driven a stock 9gen and a tuned ep3 I’m happy I got the 8 th gen just got a lot of annoying lol problems but so does everything 😂

idk i have both a 10th gen & 8th gen (fc3 & fa5) and honestly the turbo isn’t super bad, and it’s much easier to mod right out the gate imo

I think the 9th generation is the best. You can do a k20 engine heat swap with a few other mods and be really a nice naturally aspirated car. Or you can drop in a supercharger from Kraftwerks and be making over 350 whp.

Great video and fabulous location Ian. I moved away from full frame Canon and went fully Fuji cropped sensor. Never had any regrets. I find Fuji much more enjoyable to use. Don’t get me wrong the Canon system is cracking and the files are fabulous but it all got a bit boring and clinical. Now where’s the fun in that. Fuji for me from now on. It makes me want to go out take photographs. Cheers

Bought my 2008 Gti 3 years ago with 80k miles on it and haven't had any issues besides janky wiring and sensors

8th gen si is best because it's the last one with dual cam profile VTEC and a engine that can rev up to 8000rpm and to 8600rpm with a reflash. The 9th gen is good, but it's missing exhaust side VTEC so when doing a NA setup you can't make as much easily as the K20Z3. I feel like they should of put the K24A2 in the 9th gen instead if that was possible.

I just bought a 2010 WRX hatch limited with 161,000 mi. Bought it sight unseen. Had her take the vehicle to a mechanic. Did a compression test did everything, checked the timing chain and engine mounts. She was selling it for 9k Blue book was 11. The mechanic said if I didn't buy it he was going to. They're out there just don't find one that has been tuned by some young kid. Find one that was owned by a woman. You won't have any problems never buy a used car without checking the timing belt and engine mounts. 😎

So I got a 2002 wrx im 17 guy seem to not know anything on the car I did a lot to it replaced a lot just did cold air and put a intake to turbo on it didn’t start it woke up started it loud knock and rough idle seems like it low on power but the day before ran perfect could you help with some tips to what it could be??
