- Today we are going over my first impressions of my 2008 MK5 GTI. I have really enjoyed the car in the 1st couple weeks of ownership, and I am really excited about future content!

oh and i also sold my 2019 civic for profit in this crisis. for a 250,000 mile 56 plate golf gt and i dont even regret it :)
Honestly a Civic is a good comparison, only because it's front engine, fwd just like the GTI. So it should handle similarly in terms of cornering and understeer n shit like that.
But if you ask me, I'd rather have a mk5 GTI than a nice Civic type R. Not the new ones, they're ugly af imo I could never drive one. The old Civic Type R was actually a good car. I may trash on civics but that particular one (EK9 I believe) was actually good, and I would buy one if it was reasonably cheap, and in good condition.
But since I already have a fwd car (GTI) I need a rwd and an awd before I can start buying other fwds. It's just the way she goes.
Interior is such an upgrade over it’s competition.
Got the same problem with my ‘08 mk5. Ac isn’t cold. Gotta recharge. Amazing car so far though. Just roasting in here is kinda frustrating. Don’t mind opening the windows and hearing that beautiful turbo though haha. Best of luck!
You can run an intake with no tune. You’ll be fine. Nice video man!

Got a 2008 Passat with the same engine. My turbo is so quiet, definitely will be getting a blowoff valve

love the video! Did you sell the Si? Make sure they check for leaks before recharging cause otherwise you'd just be wasting money and time...might cool for a few weeks/ months and then go back to blowing hot air.

Vw has vvti which is the same..... Plus a turbo. So, ya know.
