Beautiful jujube trees. You making some impossible things to possible.I got couple of questions for you, where did you got those jujube plant from and how long you had them.
@@Asian_garden_hub thank you 😊 I bought one of my trees from an Italian company in Harrow, called Seedsofitaly…I’m not sure if their still selling them. The second tree was bought from an Italian nursery in Italy. I’ve had them for 5-6 years
Wow absolutely amazing 😮
@@Asian_garden_hub 🤗it can be done 💚🌱
Wow, great video Joe!
Your pawpaw tree lose the flower because it’s not on full sun
any fruit? does it die after fruiting?
@@Nothingfailz it hasn’t fruited yet😊
Figs are indeed very beautiful, I like figs czcams.com/users/shortsg4lmKkoLhE4?feature=share
Amazing, I took a cutting off tree number 3 and grafted it. I'm planning to stress the tree to get it to flower. Glad to hear the avocados from that tree are tasty!
@@colito69 excellent to hear that you’ve grafted scions from tree number 3 😀 I have also done some grafting which have successful. Wish you all the best with flowering and fruiting for you 🙌🏾🌱🥑
Looks nice and healthy!! How far apart do you plant your pawpaw trees?
@@thavylor thank you ☺️ My Allegheny and Susquehanna are only a few feet apart 😀🌱
@@joestropicals6760 What is a few feet? Is it 2, or 3, or 4, or 5. I do wish to know so I can plant my tiny sticks pawpaw. Right now, they are so small that even 2 feet apart seems right. I know they will be crowded when they grow to about your pawpaw trees size.
@@thavylor at least 3 feet from each other. It will help in cross pollination
@@joestropicals6760 Thank you. So, if I plant 5 to 6 feet apart, it won't bee too close, right? I saw some says 8 to 10 feet. Some say 5 to 6 feet. It's hard for me to decide now because my pawpaw are just a tiny stick. Again, thank you; this answer helps.
Stunning achievement Joe. Oh man I have to share this 🤩🤩.
Thanks Mike🤩 just goes to show what can be possible with a little gritty determination 😀🌱
Beautiful flowers and the foliage is very healthy. What sort of fertiliser do you use Joe? I need to repot mine as none are in ground, and look a bit yellow on the leaves
Hey Louise, thank you. I don’t feed often, but when I do feed. I foliar spray with either a liquid seaweed or Fish mix (from bio fizz) fertiliser. This seems to keep the leaves nice and green 🌱😀
Wow fantastic Joe 👏
Thanks Louise 🤩🌱
Incredible Joe! Never thought it was possible
Hey Lisa 😀 thank you. Anything is possible 🤩🙏🏽❤️
They look great Joe, I have a feeling the flower on your seed grown one was a male flower ( the first flowers generally are ). Fantastic to see how well the mature , bought tree is doing 🍾
Interesting experiment, Joe. Pretty flowers.
@sheri023, thank you ☺️ 💚
They are absolutely stunning flowers, Joe! It’s great to see your seedling pomegranate has produced more flowers this year, hopefully as it matures it will flower earlier and also produce lots of fruit 🤞
They really are stunning Peter. I think it’s really cool to grow these Mediterranean/middle eastern fruit trees here in the UK. Hoping for fruit one day 😀🌱
Hey Joe! Are you aware of Mountain Papaya? Its more temperate hardy!
@@daninthelionsden, yes I am aware of the Mountain Papaya being my cold hardy than the tropical…however it really hasn’t interested me to grow it. One reason being, it’s not sweet 😀plus I do like a challenge with the more tropical fruit trees.
I waited for the first fruit of this variety for about 6 years. It bloomed like yours. I planted it in the ground when it was about 80 cm tall. It was in 2018. After 3 years, the fruits also appeared and when they were about 3 cm they fell. This year, I finally got the first fruits that lasted. For the first five years, I didn't have any asimina around but two years ago I added 2 varieties that bloomed and one seedling I have a 12-year-old tree that bloomed for the first time and also bears fruit.
@@jozef2749 these trees can can so long to fruit 🙄 but great to hear that yours is finally holding its fruit. Are you based in the UK?
My are still tiny but got a good growth this year.
@@lukaszkarpinski1748 they can take a while to get established. Pawpaw trees can really test a gardeners patience 🤣🌱
@@joestropicals6760 My garden is in Slovakia. I work in the UK 8 months a year. I don't have a garden in the UK :( The climate in Slovakia is similar to the UK Southend on Sea. But in Slovakia it is hotter in the summer. Around 35 degrees Celsius during the day.
What an achievement!!! Well done, looks stunning!
@@edark94 thank you 🤩
Omg, you can grow avocado in London? Wow! I wouldn’t think it at all. I thought it snowed in London and would be too cold for those to survive! That tree must be pretty old given the size of it.
@@electricyellow613 and funnily enough this is not the only avocado tree in London. I’ve been fortunate enough to have tasted the fruit from this particular tree which I documented in one of my videos. Absolutely delicious 😋🥑
@@joestropicals6760 Here in the states, we have ads for avocados from Mexico. Maybe London should start their own ads... Avocados from Downing Street! 🤣
@@electricyellow613 now that’s funny 🤣
Brilliant Joe ,great inspiration ,am trying a loquat, pineapple guava & fig trees in my tropical gdn through watching your channel .based on Dartmoor, devon.
@@robertoughton9037 thank you. It really does go to show. With a little determination and dedication, these things can be possible. Wishing you all the best with your Loquats, pineapple guava & figs in beautiful Devon 🙌🏾
A great success story Joe especially as you dont even use a greenhouse. Its a slow process but very rewarding 👍
@@lyonheart84 thank you Brett. Yes it’s been a 4 year wait 🤣 but definitely rewarding. Both trees have flower buds forming, so provided I take care of them during winter ❄️ I’m hoping for even more fruit next summer 🙏🏽🌱
Wow! Incredible!

What an incredible achievement, Joe! That looked really good on the inside too! Hopefully, many more to come in the future 🤞
@@PeterEntwistle thanks Peter 😊 it’s been a long time coming…..at least 4 years 🤣 Both trees are now pushing out flower buds, so hopefully a lot more fruit next year 🙏🏽🌱
What a beautiful miracle of nature! | can feel your happiness. Congratulazioni on this remarkable achievement! The fruit Looks awesome 😍thank you for sharing this Papaya Taste review dear Joe 😘🌿
Tina, you are right! A beautiful miracle of nature 🤩 Thank you so much for your kind words ☺️ I’m very happy to share my joy with you all. 😘🇮🇹🌱💚
I guess we don't have to tell you to save the seeds, eh, Joe. Thanks for the harvest and taste experience!
@@sheri023 haha…seeds saved and ready to sow! Thank you for watching 😀💚
Amazing achievment, Joe. The fruit looked really good too. This is the first UK grown tropical papaya I've ever seen.
@@MoebiusUK thank you. I am absolutely over the moon 🤩
Amazing accomplishment 👏
Thank you bro 👊🏾🤩
@@joestropicals6760 🙌
AMAZING - this is so impressive! How long did it take to get to this size from seed? I tried to grow papaya from seed so many times but after they get like an inch tall they just die :(
@@juliandouglas4561 thank you. It’s taken at least 4 years from seed to fruit. Papaya roots don’t like to be sitting in water for too long. Most attempts at growing Papaya fail due to root rot. If you can get the watering correct, you’re pretty much half way there….oh and don’t give up 🙌🏾🌱
Wow, your pawpaw trees look stunning Joe! Your Allegheny and Susquehanna pawpaw trees have put on a fantastic amount of growth this year!
Thanks Peter. I’m really pleased with the growth of both trees. Once their roots establish themselves, they really take off. Hoping g for fruit next year 🙏🏽🌱
That papaya fruit is looking very promising Joe! And with the warm weather at the moment, it should help it to ripen up pretty quickly 🤞
Just picked today 🤩 Taste review video coming very soon 😀
@@joestropicals6760 oh, nice! I can’t wait to see that 🎉
They all look amazing now Joe, they've really taken off and I suspect theres a great chance of fruit production next year 🤞
Thank you . I did a tropical plant update over a week ago in which I featured the Fingerlime tree. Apologies as I didn’t do a stand alone video, but it is featured if you want to check it out 🙌🏾
I sure did check it out although I have a question did ur finger lime leaves begin to turn dry and just fall off? My variety is the Byron sunrise that I got from a nursery in Austrailia
Aye amazing tree but mind doing an update on the finger lime tree? I’m growing one myself and I wanna know if it should look likebyours
Morning Joe, looks promising. Disappointing that it doesnt have flowers on it again right now as there would have been a better chance of earlier fruit set so they would be bigger next season. You should ideally make and put out ALL of your fruit tasting videos whether good or disappointing, I try and do every type of fruit i get in my garden no matter how small or tasteless it is , as i feel people need to be realistic about expectations here when they want to try growing rare, unusual or exotic fruits and think they are going to get a huge shop quality fruit easily in our climate 😁. I for one would have liked to have seen your papaya that dropped prematurely to see for example whether the flesh was green, white, yellow or orange, did it have any seeds in it etc ? Maybe it could have been grated in a papaya salad or cooked like a vegetable ? The lack of sweetness I've found with my tropicals that tried to fruit is that when they develop over winter, because the plants are virtually dormant they don't put any sugars into the fruits. Nevertheless an amazing achievement 🎉
@@lyonheart84 Thanks Brett. My other tree is starting to push out flower buds. I totally get what you’re saying regarding putting out taste review video’s whether good or disappointing. I just never got around to doing it, but thought I’d mention the premature fruit as a back story. I’m definitely looking forward to picking and reviewing this last remaining fruit, and hopefully it won’t disappoint 😀🌱
Looking awesome 👌 😊 seems like it might drop off soon
@@shamsgardeningcrafts thank you. I’ve just covered it with an organza bag, so if it drops it’ll still hang on the tree 🙌🏾🌱
Wow, what a beautiful plant specimen, Joe. That's an amazing achievement. ... We've got some warm weather ahead so hopefully this really benefits your Papaya.
@@MoebiusUK thank you. I’m hoping that this remaining fruit will not disappoint. Yes, the warmer weather should definitely benefit the Papaya. Looking forward to doing a taste review 🙌🏾🌱
Your jujubes are looking beautiful and healthy , Joe. Hopefully, you get fruits this year 🤞😘🌿
Thanks Tina. We’re definitely behind this summer, but I’m hopeful we’ll get some fruits 🙏🏽😊😘
Don't peel em brother! The skin is tasty and tart in the best way, and skins usually have the most vitamins. We have these trees all over California, had one next door as a kid and we would eat em till we had pot bellys 😂. Perfect hot summer time snack under the huge tree that was 2 stories tall. Our Mexican neighbors would make em into a tangy fresca juice drink with some spices that was just silly good.
@@Jordan-ql6tm thanks for the tip friend. I only really peeled it as it can give me an itchy throat 🤣 Man! It sounds like you had a lovely childhood in California with your Mexican Neighbours. That tangy Fresca juice with spice, sounds like the perfect drink on a hot summers day 😀☀️
@@joestropicals6760 man it sure was a fun childhood. Unfortunately your state now is absolutely degraded and a terrible place to live. We'll be leaving this once great state. It's been overrun similar to your country in most places and become very very dangerous to the point many of our local movie theaters and shopping Mall's are closing down, tons of businesses leaving and whole industries are leaving. On a personal note please keep yourself safe and don't fall for the agenda. Our country is t requiring as of yet but is "strongly recommending" citizens to REGISTER their gardens with the government... That's an insane prospect considering the "personal food stocking appropriations rules" that were put into effect during times of strife... Very scary never let them know what you have brother. Great channel man, stay free.
@@Jordan-ql6tm it really is sad to see brother…and I’m sorry you are having to leave a once great state. I totally agree with you, and unfortunately it’s all about control and greedy agenda driven politicians. Nevertheless, what ever I have comes from God and entrust all I have to him. No fear 😀🙌🏾
@@joestropicals6760 🤝 well said brother 💪. 🧂🗽
