    Fabulous, Joe! I love pineapple guava flowers, so tropical looking and of course the petals are tasty too. Your large ‘Bubble Gum’ tree is absolutely beautiful and incredible to see the grafts you added to it are doing well 🙌🎉

      Thanks Peter. Pineapple guava flowers are probably my favourite fruit tree flowers.
      I’m really pleased with the ‘Bubblegum variety, still producing flower buds even after a heavy winter prune.

    Very promising display of flowers Joe. So far only my triumph has flowers open on it, i suspect the others need a week or two of high temperatures to burst into groeth 😁

      Triumph seems to flower a little earlier than my other two varieties. Thankfully the weather is looking promising.

    Your seedling tree is an incredible specimen, worthy of a botanical garden. Hope you get plenty of fruit theis year, Joe.

      Thanks Dani 😊 it’s a real labour of love.
      I’ve been overwhelmed with the amount of flowers this year on my Pineapple Guava trees. I’ve had to get my trusty paintbrush out to do lots of pollinating 🤗

      I’m so chuffed that my channel inspired you to get your own Pineapple Guava. I’m glad to hear it has flower buds, and at some point you’ll have beautiful flowers open….and fruit in the autumn 🙏🏽

    My triumph which I planted last October showing two flower buds. My un-named variety showing plenty of buds. this morning I saw 4-5 buds have already opened. They were all waiting for some warm temperature.

      @15shafique, that’s great news my friend 🤩
      Will you hand pollinate with a paint brush, to help with fruit set?

    • @15shafique
      @15shafique Před 2 měsíci

      @@joestropicals6760 Yes I will. But I am just thinking triumph got just two and other got hundreds. It is unjust to triumph. Triumph might get upset and exhausted and eventually drop both the fruits.

    Nice to see the stages. I have 2 trees here in Florida, USA that had flowers on it for the very first time earlier this year. What fertilizer do you use and how often?

    • @joestropicals6760
      @joestropicals6760  Před měsícem

      @@lenita6979 hi from across the pond ☺️
      Great to hear yours has flowered for the very first time this year. To be honest I’m not the most consistent with feeding my Pineapple Guava’s, but when I do feed, it’s usually a fish based fertiliser which I foliar spray or blood, fish and bone around the drip line of the tree.
