At only $6,000, this may be the best 4x8 CNC router table for the price. Here's the Zenbot website: www.zenbotcnc.com/
I've owned three of these machines and they have performed exceptionally well for only being $6,000. I may even buy another one if sales continue to grow.

12:33 I like your advice here because thats me all over, trying to solve problems before I even encounter them.
Thanks for the video. I am an enthusiastic 20 years old student from Spain and my dream is earn a living with 3d Printing. I am trying but for me is too difficult find the real client. Thanks for the final advices, I will continue waiting and searching
where's your printers?
Forget measuring the hose, just use the hose connection hole that's already in the window kit (every ac should come with a window kit) as a template for the plexiglass.
Just received my panel, used the glazing points in my wood frame and installed my a/c. Fits perfectly and looks great! Awesome product! I don’t have accessibility to the tools and engineering to make my own panel and this product is totally worth the price!
I placed my order today!, this is my second Midea Duo, the first one was in the back bedroom and I made my own Frankenstein version out of plexiglass with the factory cutout, but for the front dining room window I want it to look good and with those custom insect screens it’s worth the money. I live in southwest Florida and I don’t want lizards, snakes and Mud daubers inside of my A/C unit.
I'm confused, it's a 10-minute video and it doesn't actually show the whole thing working together, correct? Edit: oh, I see now!!! It's clear!!
too much talking, very little info
Nice solution for a casement window solution for room AC.
My window hinges out just like this but doesnt lock i dont know if yours does or not but how do you go/would you go about protecting the actual window pane from wind taking it off its hinges?
thank you. Val
Any person who "buys" a home with casement, or sliding windows...is a straight up uninformed. People need to do research, these are horrible window types that developers use because they are a cheap bulk alternative. Just a few issues: You cannot just crack a window for air in a storm, like you could with a single or double hung. Shades don't work, always buffeting in the breeze. And God forbid you need supplemental AC, few if any practical window unit options. If you have a choice, stay away from these.
Unfortunately, renters don't have any choice.
@@grafzeppelin4069 That is correct unfortunately. But renters wouldn't be investing in windows to begin with. Cheers!
This is a great product but I have only one issue with it that I can't think of a solution for. If the window is open and there's a lot of rain, wouldn't that allow rain water to get inside the house or leak into the wall ?
I feel like less water would get in than you would think. But if your window opens out/swings away from the house, you should still be able to close the window. You can even leave it cracked if you still want to run the unit
I'm curious, did you patent anything?
I have a piece of plexiglass that fits where my window screen goes but how do I tape it into place? I need to be able to remove it. Thanks!
Type in “nano tape” on Amazon. It’s clear, strong and removes easily too. Lay it over the top like you would normal tape.
@@MartinsonManufacturing thanks, I’ll try it!
Awesome!!!
This is possibly what I was waiting on
Do you have a supplier in the UK?
Bad boi workhorse
I think going to local plastics supplier and getting a custom cut piece with a hole is a much less expensive option than the $330 I was just quoted on your site, which is close to 2/3 cost of the actual ac.
What a dumb comment lol smh
Or even buy the plexi glass yourself and cut it. Have you ever cut it; doubt it. Need some plexi cutting blades and then you need to cut it just right for the tabs to work and fit. Time, money, time. This man has a CNC that's templates setup cuts to your exact needs. I priced the plexi and blades I was close to 200 before my time was involved.
@user-ep2wu9mp7e Buy the blades? Cut myself? Not what I posted. Why waste $$ on blades would likely never use again? I got quoted just over 1/3 cost from local plastics shop. No time, saved big.
I really wanted to get this ..but It costs as much as the air conditioner itself! Yikes.
Thanks for the review , it helped me make the decision on buying one , I ordered after watching this video.
That’s awesome. You won’t be disappointed.
Awesome, and thanks for the links to what you used!
my window is 23 X 44 and this would cost almost $300. It's really nice but i cant justify that. I could probably get a glass one made that that price
great product but it costs as much as the AC! hopefully the price comes down and Ill buy 1
I just bought a portable midea a/c.... Can i buy the adapter only as I'm doing my own plexiglass panel?
Do you use the CNC instead of the laser cutter for the cutouts ( adapter holes ) when it comes to the largers acrylic windows? From what I can tell, the Glowforge will be to small for the bigger ones :) Great content!
You are correct. I used to use the Glowforge for the cutout but now most of my orders are very large panels so I use the CNC for everything.
Can rats/mice enter the hose any way of having rodent deterrent?
Finally! Thanks for the review. It's the first one I've found for the newer Zenbots. I've really been looking hard at this setup. I would note on thing. Currently the Zenbots have a ball screw on the Z axis, not a lead screw. One concern that I have are the belts. It's the old debate, rack and pinion vs. belt on the Y axis. Don't know why they don't just go ahead and put a ball screw on the X axis though. But you've indirectly answered that question to a degree because this isn't your first rodeo with a large format belt driven machine and you didn't even mention that as an issue. Zenbot offers the 4896 Complete Package that includes a 110v air cooled spindle or an optional 220v for $150 more. Was that available when you purchased yours? If so why didn't you pick that setup. Frankly, it's the one I would chose because the price diff between Pro with add ons and the Pro Complete is negligible. That dust boot looks really good. Did you print that?
Hey, thanks for the comment. The complete package wasn’t an option when I first ordered but I think it’s great that they offer it now. Yeah, dust boot is 3D printed. Couldn’t find one for this spindle that I liked.
Great video, Thank you
Until you slap a $10,000 patent on it, it's free for everyone to use. Get over it people. Even then, like he said a pair of calipers and drawing software can be reproduced.
For people that live on the first floor this is not for you there's no security at all unless he's got some kind of security hardware that goes with it some kind of locks
Looks great but 400$ for a piece of plexiglass is a big ask!
Care to suggest a place to get it cheaper?
I have a 36" tall window and it was only quoted at $160, must be a pretty enourmous window for $400
1/4 plexiglass is expensive.
Nothing about pricing. You remember the first products but not their pricing? You talk about adhesion, but not what you used. Nothing about running the business. This is the third one of these I have watched and none give real information. Its all to curry "viewers" but says NOTHING. No thanks for waisting my time.
Do you options for patio door?
Yes, we make those fairly regularly. You can order through this page: martinsonmanufacturing.com/products/portable-ac-sliding-window-vent-kit The second product image is a measuring video. It's the same principle for a sliding door.
The solution is to run the printer offline or run it on the local LAN only.
A really nice solution. I would get one of these if I'm located in the US
Wish you were in Vancouver, BC Canada 🇨🇦 Fab solution!
We ship there all the time!
Have you find alternatives for the filter? I found the xTool air filter is cheaper but don't know if they fit the Glowforge one
Does someone know if they ship to Canada (Quebec)?
Yes, we ship to Canada all the time.
Could have used Octoprint for your previous machines.
I plan on moving my air conditioner from my office to bedroom each day. Is there a cover for the hole in the custom window insert, how long from ordering to getting the item?
Yes, we have vent covers for sale. If you place an order, it will be in your hands in one week.
Seems a lot like Fiverr, for example - voice actors or artists charging below what they are really worth. 6:07 is key.
Cool story
Looks really cool and something that I’ve been looking for a long time, do you do shipping to the UK?
Yup, we’ll ship anywhere. Send an email to info@martinsonmanufacturing.com with the rough size you’d need and we’ll get you a quote.
'promosm'
This is great. One question, can you create a mesh screen for the hose adaptor to keep out insects?
Yup, we already have one developed. You can choose the bug screen vent on the order form: martinsonmanufacturing.com/products/portable-ac-casement-window-vent
Any solutions for the Midea Duo units? The 4 plastic tabs that connect the hose to the factory window kit is very brittle. Had mine for a year and two of the tabs already broke. I only install my unit when summer comes around.
We do have a solution for the Midea Duo but it does require the use of those 4 locking tabs. And you’re right, they are very brittle. Two of mine broke too. I wish they sold just the top piece but you have to buy the entire hose which is expensive.
I've been subscribed for almost a year and a half, and it's very inspiring watching you evolve and develop your niche. Your website looks fantastic. I took the plunge myself, inspired by yours and similar channels, and started my own 3D printing business a little over a year ago, and am happy to say I've stumbled on to my own little niche which has turned all of this from a pipe dream into a legitimate way to make a decent living. It's terrifying when you're finding your way, but so gratifying when you find your groove. Keep it up man!
That's so awesome man, thank you for sharing! It takes a while to discover a niche and I'm glad you found one that is working for you. Yes, the journey is definitely terrifying and gratifying!
