You make some jumps here. He could have been in the military, and might have met his girl during initial training. He would have gone through power armor pilot training separately from his standard training. So, he could have been a soldier, and he was in a leadership role, which means he was probably senior in experience, and really power armor would be great just comms wise while you fight and maneuver. So, he could have met his woman during basic while on pass, they hit it off as often happens when you are an young warrior, probably got married when it came time for him to transfer to either his permanent assignment base or directly to the front line. And he did well, because he was a country boy, so he was already used to hard work, being quiet, shooting, tracking, skinning....

Why does it feel Ike his name cooper Howard keeps reminding me of the Big Bang theory

It's Monday January 4th of 2077.

I've noticed that many people seem to overlook the character of Barb in Episode 2. In this episode, there's an older woman named Ma John with an assistant who smokes all the time and is referred to as Barb or Barv. This has led me to think maybe this Barb might actually be the same Barb who is Cooper's wife. Given that Barb worked for Vault-Tec and had a significant role in their operations, it makes sense that she could have adopted a new identity. The hints are subtle, but considering the series' tendency to drop clues and create twists, it wouldn't be surprising if this turned out to be a major reveal later on. Has anyone else picked up on this, or am I reading too much into it? I think it's worth discussing as it might explain some of the gaps in the storyline regarding Barb's whereabouts.

The whole meeting of the CEOs had a very strong Dr. Strangelove vibe. It makes Fallout kind of a sequel.

Love this video. I do think you're wrong about the thumbs up though. At this point he knows that vault tech is going to destroy the world, I don't think he's worried about lawyers as much as he knows that the supposed saviors of humanity are actually plotting its demise, including his wife who he loved dearly before finding out the truth. Sure there could be a legal issue, but I don't think that's what the screenwriters were intending to foreshadow with that moment.

And she is such loyal servant to Vaultec that she would force herself to fall in love with Coop and even have a child with him! Idk how I didnt realize this earlier! 🤦‍♂️

At this point I don’t understand why all these theory channels can’t grasp that it was China who dropped the bombs, they did it unexpectedly and that’s why cooper has his daughter and are both not in vaults when it happens. Confirmed by the writer and the game. It’s not a mystery at this point 😂😂

I assume the "good vault" means one of the control vaults, where no experiments were being conducted. Since early on Vault Tec did plan out which vaults get experimented on and which were the control vaults, as in vualts that recevie no special treatment in an experiment, and exist as a means to compare to.

I just hope we get some flash backs in future seasons showing Howard behind the scenes of fallout 1 and 2. Maybe he was friends of herold or was in necropolis when the master came. Or he helped protect new Reno from enclave while the chosen one invaded the oil rig end that scene with the enclave retreating after the oil rig blows up. Maybe he just gets in a gunfight with Frank and survives

I think cooper went to the vault with his daughter but was not let in, due to the divorce. He hid enough to survive the blast but was irradiated into a ghoul. I can’t wait for season 2.

Some really good analysis. I have a big problem buying in with Barb . She takes me out of the movie in every scene . She isn’t a really attractive woman who is obviously a villain .

I thought the Eagan breakfast egg question was simply to find out if her memories of the morning’s conversations had been effectively wiped. I thought each question was probably a mix of personal and general. I figured it didn’t make sense to her because at this point she doesn’t even know who Eagan is much less what he eats for breakfast? Milchick probably notes a salient moment in all his conversations with new hires on their way to the severance procedure, and then puts one in the question list to see if any of their short term memory is still intact.

This is something I noticed when i watched the show but when Barb mentioned how hard she was working to get them in a 'good vault', Cooper kinda got offended, like his money and/or status wouldn't be enough to get them into a good one, obviously not knowing that 'good' meant 'control'. She obviously couldn't tell him that there were literal vaults made just to screw with people, like the one man, a box of puppets vault. She was hell bent, quite literally in the grand scheme of things, to make sure they wouldn't be subjected to horrible experimentation.
