Incompetent politicians and incompetent senior officers making firefighting as complicated and difficult to deliver as possible. You wouldn’t believe how hard it is for watch based staff to just be firefighters for Londoners…plonkers.
More bloody stupid waste.
Screw TfL.

Brilliant content here! I have the opportunity to buy the whole share of freehold (2 neighbors) from a Victorian end of terrace ground floor (mine) conversion flat plus the 1st floor neighbor. Can you see any benefit on this? Many thanks, Juan
Every answer is we are looking in to this, real time. Never an answer.
Should not be allowed.
Great vids!! About to check out some more of your videos! You should look into using SMZeus . c o m!! Ever since I started using it on my main channel my videos are ranking much better.
Some suggestions for you London Assembly: Edit the beginning to remove the test signal/ countdown. List the subjects covered and time stamp them in the description so that anyone wanting to check a particular point can click to that point within the video. Thanks.
Thomas Carnacki I second this. I know it’ll take a bit more time, but it’ll also make these videos much more useful.
Abolish the London Assembly!
Well played Pottsy!

Old bus should create of upgraded for engine like hybrid bus same way as usual. What purpose to waste of a new buses like this!!!
That's so many buses increase make some waste of money. There is no more room space of the local buses garage!
make some of the bus routes 24hours
I actually just finished filming a 4 minute documentary on the Living Wage with a group for St Charles Catholic College so it can be sent out to numerous other colleges.
Andrew, why would you attract people to the high street by car? They are a nuisance and parking is a WASTE of public space. Please support more ambitious visions for pedestrians and cyclists. They save on fuel and spend more of their cash in the local economy.
Great ambitions, but where does the money come from? Could we tax supermarket parking spaces?
Ah the misnomer of "small' in the theatre industry. Independent is probably a better concept to apply. Large scale theatre tends to be commercial, funded, subsidised and in the majority of cases contracted. Small scale in my mind is about the professionals and the performance of theatre not necessarily the size of the space it is housed within. This sentiment seems to resonate with the research I am currently persuing. This video is a welcomed attitude by many working in the independent sector.
Small theatres?! That place looks massive :) , visit my lil town , i'll show you a small theater! :)
What do you think of using empty shops as 'Alternative Arts' spaces that offer local communities socially engaging activities, outreach & studio spaces? So offer space 'in kind' to arts groups who have a passion for regeneration?
John should have his own TV shoe he's got a great smile, a keen mind and charisma

The extra two lines running in parallel say between Leytonstone & Liverpool Street could be the 1st stage and 2nd stage could be to increase it say to Tottenham Court Road.
@LondonAssembly Mm to be frank I don't think the Jubilee Line is the issue myself. Yes I have used it during peak hours and it can be very busy but essentially the Jubilee Line travels from South to North East London where as the Central Line travels from North East to Central/West London. So basically they're going through different areas. Surely the logical thing is for an extra two lines to be added in parallel to the Central Line between Leytonstone & Liverpool Street to double capacity?
@LondonAssembly Well I hope it does break even in 2-3 years and I certainly hope that at the very least it covers its costs. I like the idea although I don't use it myself but my impression is wrongly or rightly that its more something that tourists will use as oppose to those actually living here. Again I don't have a problem with that but certainly at the very least it should be able to wash its own face.
@coolshit28 Early days on the bike hire scheme, as the report says teething problems have had an impact on revenue and costs. The Assembly has pressed for more precise information about how the scheme is now and will be funded as it rolls out. Transport for London have told us they believe the scheme will break even within 2-3 years, we'll be checking back to see if they're right.
@coolshit28 Transport for London are currently upgrading the Jubilee line. This is due for completion in Spring 2011 and they say it will increase capacity by 33 per cent while reducing journey times by about a fifth. The London Assembly continues to monitor progress on upgrading the Tube and has published a report on overcrowding on the network
Yes, I would like to know what you guys have got in mind to deal with the commuting bottleneck on the Central Line between Leytonstone to Liverpool St. Once the Westfield and Olympic site is complete in Stratford there surely will be an extra few hundred thousand people in the area both coming in and going out. Now I can't even imagine how that's going to be handled until Crossrail arrives which is another 7 years from now!?!? So what's the deal are there going to be extra buses ... what?
Come on guys the audio in the vid is really poor 'cause of the wind so its really hard to actually hear what's being said. Anyways what the deal is this bike scheme another white elephant or is just going to be another service running at a loss? Please lets have a straight answer. Cheers.
Have a look at our Transport Committee report on Crossrail. Find it in the publications section of our website under Transport.
