Dudeee I can do like 10 seconds in one hand. The june challenge at my gym atm is 1 min 7 secs by a rock climber. It feels impossible
What about the hand hurting? Should I wear gloves or just get adapted to it? today is my first day
Depends on if you want tougher (more callused) hand skin I guess.

I don’t have a bar to hang from in my gym, but there is a frame with a wide ‘handle bar’ that looks like the one on a lat pull down machine. Does it make any difference having the bar slightly angled down, and having the arms quite wide because that’s the only position available?
What deodorant brand would you recommended for this exercise?
I struggle with this because im 2m and my gym has like one bar tall enough for me, but i cant actually reach it either
Would you recommend this for a person with modic 1? Im ex ball player, 6ft4, late 30s. Started having modic 1 issues a year ago (had magnetic resonance and roentgen ). Thanks.
I’ve read that jumping to reach the bar isn’t good for your shoulders.
Athlete is much better, but either one is better than none at all.

Amazing guide Mate! This is definitely a good resource and tutorial for those who don’t know about this workout routine.
I do dead hangs and hanging ab exercises at the start and end of my daily gym workouts. One thing that helps with dead hangs is doing grip strength exercises.
You can't dead hang without grip strength.

Nice video. I appreciate the info. The music is a little busy for a talking video though. It's a bit jarring to try to focus on what you are saying as all the notes and the somewhat fast tempo is hard to break my focus away from. I'd rather hear you talk with nothing there in the background. Less time in editing too!
Seriously i feel really great with dead hang..i had back pain for years.. now my back pain gone just only do this for a week..i will proceed do this dead hang everyday

Thanks good advice, I put up a bar in my shed with chains to adjust the height for dead hangs, chinups and pullups.
Facts man, I’ve recently changed my training routine to more of an athlete, training actual athletic movements which have a demand for stability rather than isolating muscle groups because that’s not functionable.
How to train like athletes and look like bodybuilder?can u show me some exercisefor that?
I was advised to try this kneeling weight machine to build up my strength...63 years old😊

Someone else has recommended that a healthy male should be able to hang from a bar for 2 minutes. Is this correct? Sounds a lot - I can see the benefits though.

How do you prepare for dead hang if you can't hold your body weight?
You will hold as you keep trying. I was only able to do few seconds of hang. Now I can do 70 seconds. You improve yourself if you try long and hard.

Ive been bodybuilding for 2 years and it’s boring. I want real use and actually feel good and not just big. I’ll give this a try for sure

What surface on the bar would you recommend to reduce ‘slip’, foam moves too much, bare metal seems most effective. What about the wrap you see n tennis grips? thanks👍
Most horizontal bars in the gym will be metal and if you're lucky they will have a coarseness that will help your grip. If you find you are slipping try some chalk or gloves. Inevitably you will start to slip when you get fatigued.
Should I let elbows extend fully or not? You know how when you throw a punch you don't want to extend fully....

@@AdamMcCubbin Meanwhile at 1 minute and 5 seconds :) it works :). Took me way longer than expected to reply.. I got injured and sick a while back, recovery took longer than expected.. but I didn give up.
Dead-hangs decompress everything except the neck
Dead hangs really hurt my hands because of the friction. What do I do about that?
Wear gloves or use chalk
