    Customer service is good with Petronix as well, I bought a new set of 8mm wires and 3 of them had no ohms reading, ( like you did with oil, I did with a meter) I called them and the guy in there customer service mailed me a new box of 8 ( I was asking for 3 to replace the dead ones) this was great for me because now I have 5 extra for any future needs.

    Hey, I got a question. That’s really out of the transmition area. I just wanted to know why is my Mustang 1964 six running so hot after I put aluminum radiator and electrical fan the fan is facing out

    • @AlfsMustangGarage
      @AlfsMustangGarage Před 2 dny

      Facing out? So its on the front of the outside of the radiator and not the engine bay side? How many CFM does it push? Is it a push fan or a pull fan? Did you set it up to push air in being on the outside? When does it get hot? Sitting in traffic at a light or while cruising?

    • @AlfsMustangGarage
      @AlfsMustangGarage Před 4 dny

      @josemelis4153 I believe you can get them from National Parts Depot. It seems to me that it usually takes 5 quarts to fill them back up. Problem is you can only install 3 quarts at a time otherwise you puke out the overflow vent. You have to start with 3 quarts, start your engine in NEUTRAL and run it for 10 seconds to circulate and then add the 4th quart and then start your engine and check fluid while running to top off from there.

    • @AlfsMustangGarage
      @AlfsMustangGarage Před 11 dny

      Yes, it comes with a nee shaft. We mark ours before we remove the originals. However we cut ours differently because we use a specific angled bushing in the end that we didn't show. Typically the shafts are cut straight if you want keep the borgeson stuff. I typically advise to mark the bottom of the column 1/4" out past the firewall and you should be good. However, every car is a little different. CJ pony parts has a good video in this specific thing as well that I would encourage people to watch.

    This video helped me out a lot. Unfortunately, I had an extra couple of steps. I have a 61 falcon ranchero with a 200ci straight six. Those that are doing this for the Ranchero. 1. Loosen Sway Bar 2. Hoist engine slightly(with engine support bar- $80 at harbor frieght) to bolts that connect to the center bar, frame, and f engine mounts. 3. Remove center drag link on the passenger side. This is the most brutal step as ball forks and pitman tools dont work in that tight right angle squeeze that connects to the tie rod. I had to remove the tie rod(using ball fork tool) end that connects to the center drag link first, then give it a couple of whacks with a mallet to release the passenger side ball joint on the center drag link. Once that last third bar was dropped, I was finally able to remove the oil pan.
