Tips on Practicing with a Metronome
zhlédnutí 104Před 7 lety
Part of practicing with a metronome is developing independence from the click. Acquiring a great sense of time is a hard rood. Here are some exercises I like to make the travel shorter. First off, playing with a metronome isn't meant to be a submissive task. It's not a dictatorship. Many feel like it's a one sided relationship though. It doesn't have to be. I will discuss in this video. Blastin...

      Thanks! I was using standard tuning for this. I do use a variety of tunings, but sometimes standard tuning as well especially with single note slide parts.

    Hey Mark, thanks for putting this together. I'm currently trying to record old 60's songs with my Fender XII, I have been struggling to get the 12 strings chime in my recording. I'm playing with a compressor to tame the beast. I'm working on Searchers tone, but still what I can record is a bit dull and miss the 12 strings tone we know and love. Any Suggestion ? (I've tried through my AC30, with a DI directly to the interface with virtual amps, with compressors and eq's on the track)

    It's been brought to my attention that there is the possibility the lead guitarist on the Slim Harpo recording of Buzzin' could be Rudy Richard or James Johnson. I can't find any documentation from those sessions. It's unfortunate that we know so little details from many of these important recordings.

      @GuitarLessonsNYC1 Před 7 lety

      Yes, they are made by String Swing. I got the Slat Rail system. It's great. You do have to make sure they are installed correctly. If they are not they will start to fall. I had to hire three different carpenters til one got it right. They also some in one length. So if you need t shorter you have to cut it down. They sue really nice wood and are a good company. • @GuitarLessonsNYC1
      @GuitarLessonsNYC1 Před 7 lety

      yeah having a LED and 9v input are important these days. I must say, I'm not a fan of modern EHX pedals. I find they break a lot and I don't find the sound quality stellar. I don't consider them gig worthy really. The Ripple does the phase 45 perfectly. Empress does some cool stuff with modulation. Not really a phase 45 but cool. Is Mu Tron making a phaser again?
