AM Mike really does make the best pedals on earth. I’ve been mean to try his 4-knob compressor for sometime now. I mainly Like the sp comp from exotic with my tele.
Yeah he really takes a lot of care in the quality and tone of his pedals. He really understands vintage tone. He doesn’t just throw the parts together. The SP compressor is nice for its size. It’s not bad at all. But, the AM really steps things up!
I will have to try and AM Compressor soon. I propose that you shoot a compressor video : Optical, Ross, etc... comparison...I would love to hear your thoughts on various compressors@@GuitarLessonsNYC1
Hey Mark, thanks for putting this together. I'm currently trying to record old 60's songs with my Fender XII, I have been struggling to get the 12 strings chime in my recording. I'm playing with a compressor to tame the beast. I'm working on Searchers tone, but still what I can record is a bit dull and miss the 12 strings tone we know and love. Any Suggestion ? (I've tried through my AC30, with a DI directly to the interface with virtual amps, with compressors and eq's on the track)
Also, are you running through a pedalboard? Or guitar to compressor to amp? How long are the cables you’re using and what brand? Using a heavy pick or a thin/medium?

Hi Johan, what compressor are you using? What eq are you using? What’s the gauge strings on the Fender XII? We’re you using a top boost AC30?
