Possibly, but that hill was super slick and i don't think he'd been able to get back out of the rut without sliding the front down towards the side of the hill. Some tree roots is what pushed the rear over.

My stock one gave up the ghost a while ago. Also doesn't work as well for lift and tires. I've had mixed results, sometimes the high-jack does exactly what i need, sometimes the scissor jack is the tool that gets it done.

Already got it back a few months ago, diff was covered, i replaced the CV and some of the suspension parts that were worn out. I haven't done anything with the doors yet, probly going to pull the inside panel and push them back out.

I've had it out on the local trails once, found a few things that needed attention. Almost back to daily status.

There is a reason the rear diffs on the KL were on a national back order and would cause wait times of 9 months or longer....and it wasn't because of owners thrashing them. This was the 4th rear diff, and it failed within 6 weeks of install. Not to mention the oil coolers, among many other issues. I completely own the CV breaking as that was due to lift causing the shaft to bind against a bracket. But if what i've shown is considered "thrashing" I'd hate to see what actual thrashing looks like...lol. This is all kiddy pool stuff that i'm doing.

It happened as my front came over the lip of that climb and the fronts drooped. The lift spacers caused the axle shaft to bind on a subframe bracket. Turned me into zero wheel drive...🤣 The bracket has no been filed down.

Yeah, the day sure went south in a hurry.

The last clip in the video shows the gladiator towing me back out of the park. We were on one of the main access roads to get out. There is a whole network of easy trails weaving all over the park. As stated, this was exactly 1 year ago, she spent 9 months at the dealership waiting for the rear diff, and i have since replaced a few suspension parts getting her back up to daily drivable.

I got it in August while waiting indefinitely for a new rear diff for the KL. (Ended up waiting 9 months) I got it back in March and took it on a shakedown run, found a few issues that i'm trying to get sorted before i can even daily drive it again. There is never zero risk, but I knew where my intake is (42" in OR2), and that the fenders infront of me were lower than that and the creek bottom was solid. I did not anticipate floating 2" higher in the water, which as shown by the picture helped keep my intake safe.

They are public 'roads', but require knowledge of the trails to avoid private property and not piss off the locals. Please don't go exploring for these trails by yourself. Plenty of area groups do regular rides on these trails.

Well the WK2 essentially has the same, in rock mode it presses the clutch discs ect to basically lock the rear, so so far its a mute point, but i haven't done a lot of rock crawling yet to do a full comparison.

Outside of potentially scuffed rims I don’t think there’s any substantial damage

​@@brucestring6564 Rims were okay, the dust was from his rock slider, though he did burp some air out from the weak sidewalls on his stock tires not happy about 18 psi, so we had to air him up a bit after this.

I see no destruction... maybe a skid plate hit at the end, but isn't that what skids are for?
