- So this week i finally got the call from the dealership telling me the Jeep was all finished up and ready for my next adventure! So i did a quick shakedown run with a couple friends to make sure stuff was all working as needed.

Off-roading has grown up a lot since I’ve been on a trail with a full size rig.
SOOO good to see Fearless back at it again! It's been too long!
It very much has been waay too long!
Awesome man!
Glad you back up and running. Took me 7 months but finally got mine going again too. Took mine to an obstacle course for a fundraiser last weekend and the new transfer case and new parts did awesome.
Great to see you back! If your ever in michigan hit us up.
Thanks! I'll try to remember that! But you'll have better luck just watching my pages for updates as to when/where, as my memory is terrible :(
Glad to hear your baby is back to you. I have the gleaming alloy control arms and skid plates coming Tuesday to get put on Saturday myself , and that same frog fab plate was my plan on the front too . I am interested to see how that experience goes for you since it'll be a later in the year project for me. So document that very thoroughly please lol
I'll try to remember to make the videos, but i usually forget to get the video until i'm too far into the process to be worth a video. I've had the skid plates since november...just waiting to get it fully fixed before putting it on.
It's so awesome to see you finally have her back! She's a fine looking Jeep and I'm looking forward to seeing the adventures you have with her after such a long time.
Thank you!
Very cool to see you doing things with your trailhawk again. Its inspiring to see what you can get after with your trailhawk and what mods you use with it.
Thanks!
Good to see you back. I traded my Trailhawk back in Dec for my Wrangler, but still enjoy your channel. The Cherokee Trailhawk is a little tank offroad.
Thanks man! Hoping to start getting more content again soon!
Congrats! It's about time!!!
FEARLESS, BACK IN ACTION. HELL YEAH. Happy for you, bro! Any trail rides planned?
Nothing "planned" yet, but over the next couple weeks i am going to try to pencil a bunch of stuff for summer.
congrats man glad you got it back
Me too!
Those skid plates should be checked frequently for holding mud and other debris.after the badge of honor at holly oaks i realized how much crap them plates actually hold.and if you don’t clean them enough the mud will keep adding up till you have other issues.
Oh i know, i have taken them off numerous times to clean them and ended up with over 50 lbs of mud in the yard a couple of times.
About time. Glad you got it back.
Thanks, me too!
Stock.. are BFG KO2's going to cause damage? Love ya, bro.
* shrugs
What was the holdup for ya? What ended up being the part that failed? I'm noticing a little slack in the tranny or something, just over 30K miles. It's not awful, but raises an eyebrow now and again. Overall, still super impressed with the little bugger. Same rig as yours, other than it's the 4 turbo.
It was the rear PTU, as stated in the 'update' video from fabruary. I was just waiting on parts. The problem has been known for almost a year now, leaky rear diff with a 'clutch pressure sensor' code...but for whatever reason the first dealership replaced the working-fine front diff, not the rear.
As to your 'slack', i had a similar thing, where it just felt like there was some slop in it. Then after i replaced my failing front CVs that slop went away. Maybe related, maybe not. 🤷
@@FearlessTrailhawk Guess I missed some of the info here and there! Bummer that it took so long to get it back on the trail. Keep on kicking ass!
But what was the problem did the dealership told what it was ?

@@FearlessTrailhawk A man im happy you be back on track. love your content 👌
Was it the PTU?
Yes, it was. And still is. (It failed again 6 weeks later)
What did they replace/fix?
This was for the leaky rear diff that had been giving me problems for over a year (bad install i think). Just takes forever to get parts for these things now...
Why it took so long to fix the problem?
As i speculated in the other video, It was part not being able to diagnos it without the active code, part incompetence by ordering the wrong part (front, instead of the leaky rear), part waiting 2 months on the first (wrong) part, then 3 months on labor because they lost all but a single tech, then the next dealership diagnosed it correctly, but forgot to contact me to notify me i needed to come back for a 'digital scan' to confirm the bad parts, after 2 months i called to see what was going on, then they told me that. Then another 2 months waiting for the correct parts, and then a couple weeks to get scheduled and finished. Pretty much anything that could have gone wrong to make it take forever...did.
What was wrong with the jeep that it took 9 months to fix ?
Rear diff would not engage. For the longest time it would not throw the code while anyone had it to look at, so there was nothing they could do, then it was 2 months waiting on the first (wrong) part, then 3 months on labor to replace the wrong part (front diff, instead of the bad rear diff), then another two months at the next dealership because my ticket fell through the cracks and nobody ordered parts, then another 2 months waiting for those parts to arrive. Pretty sure i covered most of the story between this and my 'update' video in february.
Dude I hope you're reporting losses on your taxes for all of this. It's a massive loss.
Before I saw the tire swap I was going to say it seems a lot quieter.
It was all covered under the warranty i somehow have again...But i have been claiming all Jeep related costs as business expenses. I do use a couple audio filters for when i have to record in the jeep.
@@FearlessTrailhawk So none of your modifications voided your warranty? Was it cancelled and then restored (inferred from comment above)? You can point me to a video if you have already explained this in detail. I just purchased a 2022 Trailhawk. I'm itching to start modifying but concerned about warranty.
@@charlesw665 The key is not trying to get certain things warrantied. The only thing that would void my warranty is lift. And the lift only technically affects the CV's. The real struggle is "its not designed to do those things" attitude from dealerships simply because it was used offroad.
But yeah, i don't know exactly what went down around my warranty, i never asked, and don't plan to.
@@FearlessTrailhawk Gotcha, thanks for the reply!
