To me the big difference comes when you compare the swings and actions. You can clearly tell that in the rings of power a sword strike is not meant to hit the opponent, but rather to hit their sword. Meanwhile in the Lord of the Rings trilogy much emphasis is placed upon attacks being made against an enemy, not their weapon. These aren't choreographed dances, they are fights for life and death. Moments where two characters throw strikes at one another despite neither strike ever having a chance to actually hit the opponent are par for the course in Rings of Power.

Here's a simple fix to Ironheart, make it so that the suit is still basic, like, it can barely get a story above the ground without tumbling back down, and we see that she's actually wearing a shoulder brace, she'd broken her shoulder when she fell at one point while testing this thing, proving that she isn't perfect and we see just how much of a genius Tony was in comparison, I mean, the dude was able to build this thing in a cave with a box of scraps, while she can barely make something as advanced, and the whole repulsor thing, yeah, those are literally just darts on wrist-mounted crossbows, barely working at all, proving that trying to live up to a challenge like building the Ironheart suit is something that few could ever hope to accomplish. There's obviously more to it than that, but Imma cut it off here.

Something that Helms Deep gets right that even its own prequels get wrong: The feeling of dread, and the wight of the consequences of what was happening. When they pull pre-teens away from their parents and fit them for armor and weapons...You feel the desperation. You feel the dread. And even though the movie shies away from actually showing those children die, it never lets the mood lighten to the point where the viewer feels those children were safe. Contrast that with the Battle of the Five Armies, where there is absolutely no sense of dread when the women and children take up arms in the ruins of Dale. That scene is just dripping with the 'gung-ho' feeling and the assumption that of course everyone will be fine...

You have great arguments and I agree most of them but I just want to point out one thing, in our beloved original fight, all characters were main ones. The other profit crap had some random guys and Galadriel. The fight should have been far better for second one (they are friends for centuries hello) and making Galad doing silly Tiktok moves was hard to watch but in the end, they were NPC, yet fellowship is not.

One thing that is not talked about enough is how clean her suit feels. It's epurated, it glows blue, and the sounds don't match anything we're used to hear in real life. The first Iron Man suit was like a frying pan with motors. It was fucking heavy, tanky, and it crashed on its first flight. Then when Tony finally went back home, we had the opportunity to actually see him work on the suit, making prototypes (even getting the idea of the repulsor from the mug's handle). And at first it didn't feel like Iron man, because he wasn't him yet. Remove the fiction and it was literally ColinFurze building random things in his garage. And after heavy prototyping, we finally get a suit that doesn't even wear the brand colors of Iron Man to showcase how much of a prototype it still is. But her, she casually had repulsors, a fricking Arc reactor, which was like one of the main plot points of IM1. And how tf does she even put the suit on ? Every time Iron Man suit model appears for the first time, it's an occasion to show us how Tony puts it on and off (Suiting up "manually" with mark 2, then having robotic arms and rims to put it on, while remaining stationary, then having a complete walk on the top of the stark tower, then when he gets thrown off by loki, then helicopter suit up, then nanotech). But her she gets ready offscreen. Like everything she does is a missed opportunity for greatness.

I think the small detail of Tony raising his arms to protect his face when Cap broke open his helmet- showing how he genuinely thought Cap would kill him for a moment- is so powerful in showing the complete breakdown of trust by the end of the movie. subtle gems like this seem to have dried up post-Endgame

It was really nice of big chungus to hold up elf guy while elf guy choked him. Most people would have used both hands to try and stop from being choked. But big chungus over here was like "better use one arm to help elf guy choke me"

Tbf I think its a great idea to pass on a portion of the franchise to new actors. There will always be new artists on the rise, why not let them rise to glory as well? But that doesnt excuse the shabby writing and increasingly more mass produced and boring plots and structure

Basically, it requires much, much more writing skill to make an unlikable protagonist interesting. I don't think it's a bad idea to make Galadriel uncaring and unlikable but it should be portrayed as a character flaw and it should definitely be the starting point for character development. Also, sorry to say your emotional outbursts don't really add to the video. It would be better in my opinion to just analyze the scenes side-by-side and let me draw my own conclusion.

The Blade movies as the first highly profitable superhero films? The first three Superman movies and first 3 Batman movies were all huge hits, and the first 2 films for each of those were actually good movies. What Blade did was resurrect those kinds of movies after SM IV and Batman & Robin seemed to have killed off superhero flicks.

What's crazy is that in the scene when Lurtz throws the dagger, it was a real dagger and he meant to miss Aragorn but due to his vision being impared cuz of the makeup he accidentally threw it right at him and he straight up deflected that shit. Lol
