Tempted to think itd all be plain sailing, Old enough now,to know theres no such thing. Beautiful exit outro..🎼🎸
would love to see Tracy do this stuff live a great acoustic show at a folk festival somewhere
I'm embarrassed to admit that I've only just discovered Tracey Thorn, but thankful that I have!
I love her, hidden talent ❤ in a way im glad because it'd be exposed with over rated things lol
❤️
This song still brings tears after 40 years. Beautiful
This song never fails to hit hard, tremendous lyrics as true now as when they were originally written
The best "up all Saturday night" early dawn Sunday morning music
my favourite over 40 years timeless
one of my favorite chill out albums for 40 years :)
I feel in peace with my solitude while playing this, re potting some plants and sketching is a great combination alongside Tracey<3
Ah the nostalgia is strong in this one.
but everyone knows it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First herd it in the 80's on Annie Nightingale's Sunday afternoon show on Radio 2, Great song.😊
All personal of course but to me one of the greatest tracks ever .
Tracey's blessed with the best singing voice. Love it.
I knew Alex Taylor when I was a student. She was brilliant. Conversations with her made me a life long socialist. The shop assistants are still one of my favourite bands.
i love this song
With a lot of practice they could be as good as the Shaggs
This track accompanied me throughout my university years, 1984-1988. Sussex Uni. Halcyon days for sure.
Narcotic!
Reminds me of being 17..
Beautiful voice ebtg outstanding talent pure class
femcel theme song
me
I still own this single from back in the day And I still cherish is lovingly
Love love this album, Tracey is an icon of mine, such a talented singer❤️
One of my all time favourites. Simple and yet so beautiful and still sounds as wonderful as it did on first listening.
One of the most underrated indie pop records of all time, a hidden gem for sure, even with Tracey Thorn's subsequent success this never retrospectively became a renowned album, it's a shame, but I'm happy that out of the thousands upon thousand of hidden gems destiny lead me to this one
Such a flashback. ❤
Masterpiece
Im trying to impress someone with music no one knows
Takes me back to my 80s student days.
This song kills me and always has.
Beautiful Song!!! I first heard it pillows and prayer
Someone knows when this song was released (month and year)? I think it's in 1982, but which period ? Thank you.
I love this song very melancholic and smooth, just what I needed tonight. 👌🏽😌
Saw ETBTG live in Newcastle s'time in the early 80's with my first gf. 😍
<33 tracey is the best
<3
Luv this tune
I hadn't heard this song for at least 25 years (the album is in a box in a lockup back in my hometown - long story)...and yet on hearing it again it was instantly familiar.... "old enough to know there's no such thing." (means a bit more at 55 than 25 ;)
All my life I had a dream Of someone I'd like to meet He would be mine, he'd be so fine My beatnik boy so sweet How I wish he would be mine He looks so neat, he looks so fine Sha-la-la-la-la-la, sha-la-la-la Sha-la-la-la-la-la, my beatnik boy Beatnik boy, beatnik boy Now I think I've found the one No boy can beat He won't be mine, but he's so blind My beatnik boy so sweet How I wish he would be mine He looks so neat, he looks so fine Sha-la-la-la-la-la, sha-la-la-la Sha-la-la-la-la-la, my beatnik boy Beatnik boy, beatnik boy 'Cause you're my beatnik boy You make me jump for joy Each day I wonder why You'll never be mine 'Cause you're my beatnik boy You make me jump for joy Each day I wonder why You'll never be mine 'Cause you're my beatnik boy You make me jump for joy Each day I wonder why You'll never be mine Never be mine
Terrific LP and a beautiful memory of Zoe at Uni in Sheffield …
How could she know this, at such a young age?
I will always love this.
I never believed that you could be too happy But I realize now that we can be When we can't cope with this love that we found Seems we'll say anything to knock it down That I realize I love you more And is that why we go through this for? Could that be any more perfect.....or any more true?
bestfriends forever!
WYATT WHERE YOU AT ??!??
