    I wonder if a person 181 cm tall can sit on the saddle with a fully straight leg? Seat tube of the frame seem to be short. Would have to be used some very long seat tube?

    • @t0mj4y

      I had the stock seat tube adjusted well within its limits and I measure 185cm. This is an L frame. For 181 I think Canyon recommend an M.

    Ive kind of narrowed my choices down to the Canyon Stoic 3, Vitus Sentier VR, and the Norco Fluid HT 1 with the Vitus being my number one choice, but the Stoic looks so damn good it makes me want it more.

      My first choice would have been the Vitus too, but it was never in stock. I have to say I'm happy with the Stoic though!

    Do you know what the minimum size chainring you can put on? And are the rotors resin only rotors?

    • @t0mj4y
      @t0mj4y Před 2 lety

      Hey, sorry for the late reply. I've done some digging but can't seem to find a good answer to this. Just from looking at the chainring bolts it does look like there is space for a smaller chainring if you can find one, but I can't find which BCD it is on the Canyon website. You definitely couldn't put a bigger one on there because it would rub on the chainstay. From what I've read you should be OK to swap out the brake pads for metallic or semi-metallic as long as the rotors are new.

      Sure! I'm 185cm. If you're still sure, not try using the size calculator on the Canyon website.

    What’s the fork like compared to other forks at the same price?

    • @t0mj4y
      @t0mj4y Před 3 lety

      Sorry, I don't really have a good answer to this. I don't have anything to compare it to. In terms of price, I can only find this model (XCR 34 air boost) for sale online for about 300 euros. In terms of features it's an air fork with 34mm stanchions, 140mm travel, with a boost thru axle. I guess if you want the same features with a different brand like Rockshox or Fox it'd cost a lot more.

    I'm thinking of buying one, is it hard to assemble, or does it come with instructions. I don't have tools so is that a problem or does it come with one?

    • @t0mj4y
      @t0mj4y Před 3 lety

      It's easy to assemble and comes with instructions and tools. I've got another video where you can see me assembling it. It would have taken less time if I had read the instructions! Really it's just a case of putting the handlebars on, the rear hanger and mech, pedals, and wheels. You'll need to buy some pedals and a pump to inflate the tyres but apart from that you should be fine!

      @@ericc4526 No. They give you a torque wrench in the box which you do everything with. Check this video to see what they give you: czcams.com/video/KTEao56EgU4/video.html (minute 1:50) There are some good tips too for how to put it together.

    Hi, i just have a question Im 1.70 and i think the M size is good for me. What do you say should i get the M size?

    • @t0mj4y
      @t0mj4y Před 3 lety

      It depends on your inseam. 170 is either S or M, but I would use the instructions on the Canyon website to measure your inseam and then check with the calculator. 👍
