Twin sisters, Diane and Donna, have a passion for good food but don’t always agree on the effort. That’s where the idea for Gourmet or Good Enough evolved. Diane prepares good food and Donna elevates recipes to a gourmet level.
Make Ahead Baked Breakfast Muffins

Breakfast Muffins
Ingredients for batter:
2 cups flour
⅓ cup sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
2 eggs, lightly beaten
½ cup milk
½ cup canola oil
For Mix add the following:
5-6 beaten eggs
½ pound cooked, crumbled bacon, sausage or ham
1 cup shredded cheese
Optional add-ins:
Shredded potato
Finely diced onion, peppers, mushrooms, jalapeños
Directions:
make batter by combining flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl whisk together 2 eggs, milk and canola oil. Add to the flour mix to make a batter.
Fold in the eggs, cheese, meat and any additional add-ins.
Spray muffin tin with cooking spray.
Fill each tin about three quarters full. Top with more cheese.
BAKE IN PREHEATED OVEN 400F
Bake 12-15 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean
Freeze cooled muffins in an airtight container. To use, microwave each muffin on high for 45-60 seconds or until heated through.

I would love to “sun” dry, but my figs mature in late September and sunny days are unpredictable! Oven drying for me is a use bet. And they really do taste sweet. Thanks for watching

Hello- I am lucky to have a loaded fig tree in my yard. This recipe looks great! I was ready to make it now, but I'm a bit confused. In the video you said your pan was about 7x5" but in the description box you wrote to use a 9x13" pan. That is a big difference and I'm not sure which to use. Please tell us which is correct...Thank You!!! Can't wait to try it!!
@@HOPPRCYN the recipe is good for a 9x13, but I like a thicker bar so I opt to go heavy on the bottom crust in a smaller pan. Either way, you will love the result. Let me know If you make these.

Don't use microwave!!! It's very bad for your health
This technique works for any method. Just be sure to cut at least an inch off the bottom of the ear. That’s where the silks are attached to the corn. Cutting it there frees the silk. Then it’s easy to remove if you start from the top! Thanks for watching!

A little possibly helpful “hint” about how to locate/ find maraschino cherries in a store ( they are not always in the baking area ) . At Liquor stores , or the liquor department/ area of a grocery store that sells liquor . Happy hunting 🤓

RAMEN NOODLE SALAD 2 tbs butter 3 ounce pkg ramen noodles, remove seasoning packet 3 carrots peeled and shredded - about ½ cup ½ cup slivered almonds 3 tbs sesame seeds - reserve some for serving garnish 3 tbs sunflower seeds 1 ½ lbs Napa cabbage - 8-10 cups shredded 1 bunch green onions sliced thin - about ½ cup DRESSING: ½ cup light flavored oil, ¼ cup plain white or rice vinegar, ½ cup white sugar, 2 tbs soy sauce, grated ginger - mix well In melting butter in pan, add crushed ramen noodles (crush in packet) , almonds, nuts - sauté to a golden brown In large bowl, combine cabbage and onions, add noodle mixture, pour dressing and toss well to combine.
