I caught up with the manga durring luffys fight with moria. So the first BIG thing i experienced "live" was NOTHING HAPPENED and after that came sabaody with this shit. Every time i watch it i cry like a baby. Everyone knew that they are not dead. Thats not the part that break people. Its the fact that Kuma one by one took luffys nakama from him. He is the CAPTAIN. Its his job to protect his crew. Luffys said it himself, i cant cook or navigate or use a sword but he is strong he can protect his nakama. He failed. When he was a kid he lost sabo, he couldn't do anything about that. He said to ace that he want to become stronger, much much stronger. After everyone vanished he said im weak. Luffy thought that everyone is dead. The 2nd part is kuma. Knowing his backstory and everything and seeing it through kumas eyes is messed up. He believes in Nika. This was the only way to save him and his crew and he knew that he wouldnt see him again. His mind would be erased.
