Pavithra speaks about her feelings on collaborating in the production bringing along 11 youths who are all part time dancers fulfilling their joy and choice to keep commercial-dancing alive, as per the need and demand in our country's modern world. I am Geetha Shankaran - Lam, a homegrown talent from Malaysia. Started out training with Krishna Kumari who was a graduate of the Kalakshetra Academy, and I was then picked to study Odissi, by my guru throughthe invitation of Guru Padmadhri Datuk Ramli Ibrahim. I was the first graduate of Sutra. And then, I moved on to TFA.. thus the story goes. 🌹🙏

what a beautiful piece of work. so well put together. the abhishekam and puja set the mood for the dance in a most unique way. and Lethia's performance of this absorbing and contemplative piece is noteworthy. she seems to be glowing with confidence, devotion, and love. letting go of whatever burdens, she brings along with her to that beautiful, joyful and grateful place so we can heal ourselves. watching her, i deeply understand what the song is about. inspiring...
what a lovely performance here. and in the lovely sunshiney garden. definitely a refreshing change from being in darkened hall. those long limbs, that charming smile, and the clean lines of execution, and the graceful use of the torso, slightly isolated from the hips - and the obvious joy and pleasure in the dance.
what will the future bring? for those who can see, they are roused from their quiet, hidden, sacred place of contemplation, away from questioning eyes, when they see the great turmoil that is about to come. and in themselves, they are troubled, questioning, their unusual stillness now filled with pleading prayer...
This is excellent effort for a beginner student. Observing her closely, we can see promise in the way she is conscious of lines and rhythm - a conscientious effort to maintain the form and shape of the dance. But there's more. In certain moments, we can catch a look, a gaze, that this young dancer is searching for that indescribable place inside herself during the dance. And searching for that will lead her, and us, to the dance in time to come. That's her promise...
