Ford F150 is my dream truck
I have replaced all parts and cannot get my latch to move, it only releases when I pull the metal bar at the bottom down first, same problem on both sides, adjusted the tension and lubricated all parts??? What am I missing???
I am sorry that your having trouble with this repair! @billwilhelm4633 You may need to replace the latch as well. Thats what we chose to do. Check out our part two video that covers the latch replacement.
I found out that the replacement metal tips were not properly machined and did not go all the way to the middle and caused the cables to catch and not move freely. I took a Dremel tool with a cutting wheel and fixed the problem. Thanks for your reply.
@billwilhelm4633 that's good feedback. Very glad you were able to make it work!
Nice
💪😊👍
You did a great job on the 3rd brake light replacement
Thank you Luis!
Were do I find the metal pieces ❤
Hi @rickygalarza9315, you should find the link in the video description.
Thanks COOP .. .
Video for Jeep Cherokee KL motor 2.4???
We sure will look at it If we get one in the shop that needs it. Thanks for posting!
Like someone else said, this is one of the best and clearest explained how to videos I think I have ever wached. Took me no time at all to replace mine. Excellent job, Thanks!
Thanks much @BenModerow... sure do appreciate the encouragement!
My 2022 Cherokee Trailhawk has this problem. The dealership had been looking for the leak and couldn’t find it. I found your video, and alerted the dealership about the service bulletins on my second trip. Sure enough, this was it. Thank you for this info! I’m thankful my Jeep is still under warrantee so they will be fixing it for me. I am also going to tell them we need mold remediation on until carpet. My leak is on the passenger side.
You are most welcome @dg11306! Glad it helped !!!
DOES NOT APPLY TO 4 CYLINDER. Would’ve been great information before I removed my entire battery, luckily not much work to put it back
Thanks for the feedback @lemickey4204. We updated the title and description to six cylinder.
I can’t just replace the bulb I need a fan if I want to install LED on 07 Ford f150?
Hi @teeb9969. I am not certain, but I believe if your bulb needs a fan, then it probably comes with it.
Where can I find them pieces at them eight pieces and a part number please if I could and thank you
Hi @paulfoster7346. You should find links to these in the video description.
@@hopfammedia thank you so much I did thanks thank you so much That was an awesome video That was the best I've ever seen out here That was so perfect I'll look at a lot of videos but hey that's one here was best explained it keep up the good work thank you for sharing
Wow you are awesome this is the best one I've ever seen this lady knows what she's doing thank you so much for sharing this I'm amazed thank you😊
You are most welcome @paulfoster7346. Thanks for the encouragement!
Great job 👏. Question 🙋🏻. Does the 2001 GMC Yukon have a rear reservoir ? Or does the front one feed wiper fluid to the front & rear windshields? Thx in advance.
Great question @user-ot6uo8wg2j. This particular 02 Yukon has the reservoir in the front. We are not aware of a second one in the rear. So, based on limited knowledge, I'd say there is probably a line feeding fluid to the rear glass.
2 valve or 3 valve engine?
It's been awhile @so.calmotoadventurerides3135, but confident it's 3 Valve.
😏
Don't run it lower then 2200 rpm
Very well done with the exception of the airbag-windshield-rocket at 2:57
Very useful info, thank you Laura. Just letting people know that lot of these modern transmissions are not meant for towing or hauling heavy loads. Specially with smaller cars. Sometimes the manufacturer dose not tell you how to keep your transmission healthy. There are also automatic transmissions that are not really automatic at all but that is another topic for some other video.
Very well put @SuperMAZ007. Thanks for the post!
On my 2016 odyssey we had to do the 3x drain n fill PLUS software update at the dealer 😂. I hate newer cars lol
Planned obsolescence at work. Thanks for posting @TheHomesteadingAvenger!
Did you say drain and fill three times, easy maintenance. Check the price of a quart of trans fluid along with the filters and oil.
Yes @adrianebrannon5622. I get your point. However, it's much less expensive to service and extend the life of this transmission than it is to replace it. Thanks for posting!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I replaced mine today, thanks to your video, on a 2008 Tahoe.👩💻❤❤❤
You are most welcome @atticdust6581! Glad it helped.
I don't know much about high performance cams, but I do know you loose engine vacuum. Maybe get a vacuum gage and check?
Good idea @jewellake. It turns out that this one was due to an ever so slightly warped flywheel. Running smoother now!
That's a nice kitty. Are you going to keep her or give her up for adoption?
Definately a keeper!
Tranny should be serviced more often then factory says in most cases. I service mine every 40k miles! I also add dr tranny shudder fix when servicing!
Glad you got the got rid of the transmission slips that was a great solution
Thanks much Luis!
Great idea I had a 2016 Sedona come in the shop today doing the same thing your fix worked thanks a lot
Great clip. I'm going to try my doors now. THX
That's great @Richard-ry4mx! Thanks for posting.
My 2017 Colorado is doing this and got a price today. My Chevy dealer wants $500.00 for the recommended flush. I'm retired and that seems really high for a flush. Any thoughts?
Hello @blitz4Jesus. Are they including the fluids we reccomend in this Video or are you buying them separately? It's been awhile, but I believe we came pretty close to that figure for the entire project.
@@hopfammedia That was for everything. I just picked up a tube of Instant Shudder Fix and going to try that first. Thanks for answering!
It looks worse
🙂
Nothing about that is fast except for the speed of the video
Lol 😁, I'm aching to try vapor headlight restoration. I just don't have a bad headlights yet.
Is there a part number ? Or a parts list to buy the metal ones
Yes @brooksnguyen9922, you should be able to find that in the video description.
All a band aid. The problem is the TCC is allowed to slip. The programming allows it to slip and engages is in early gears. Program the allowed slip to zero not 20 (40 in dod). All band aid bs. Remove the slip, prevent the shudder.
I know of a couple of tranny shops that disagree. But, if your idea works then thanks for posting it here for the benefit of others.
@@hopfammedia that’s what the root of the problem is. It’s programmed to slip. Dealers and transmission shops opinions on tcm ecm programming mean nothing to me if they don’t know about allowed slip tables.
@@hopfammedia of course they would say you need to keep servicing it. This would actually fix it. They get rich of gm late model transmissions.
@treybadd good point!
Great job y’all!
Thanks for the encouragement!
12 volt
A 20 dollar bottle of friction modifier will stop shuddering as well
Is the TRD Decal something one of the owners added on or was it a package available in the 97?
Great question @fcuellar08. There were other decals on this truck that were not stock. I am not certain about the TRD decal.
@@hopfammedia thanks for responding. It’s funny I spotted what I think was a 97 with the same decal the other day. So maybe it was a thing or it could just be two people with similar tastes haha
@fcuellar08 that is funny. Where did you see it? This truck's new home is north of Memphis, TN.
@@hopfammediaI saw it in Phoenix
Hmmm, @fcuellar08 probably a different truck.
She needs to be more specific this information is not accurate for a 4 cylinder 4 door sedan.
This vid is for the V6!
im having the same problem between 1st and 2nd gear it lags on the shift I'll definitely will need the flush.
Ok why would flushing the trans or replacing the fluid cure the problem? Would it just not come back at a later mileage? The real problem is cheap components inside the trans wouldn't you think? Probably the valve body or faulty shift sensors.
It's my understanding that GM's OEM spec fluid is a culprit @johnnys4782. Either way, treat it with multiple fluid changes at shorter intervals and you will likely extend the life of your tranny.
thanks for the video, well made and easy to follow for a quick refresher on how to talke the job. I like to see the installs before hand to not miss a fastner that could break something like a plastic panel
You are most welcome @jeffanhorn. Thanks for posting!
Glad you got the abs module replaced in this Jeep great job
Thanks Luis!
Great video - thank you! Glad they made a critical component of the doors out of plastic and then engineered it in a way that you have to do the work from the back seat, inside the truck, with the doors closed. Top-notch engineering, eh? Must have hired the Harley-Davidson drop-outs. But the good news is: it's only 100ºF out today, so being stuck in the back seat of my truck having a heat stroke is going to be a party. Really though - great video, thank you! You'll probably cut the time I spend in the back seat of my truck in half and they may not have to send the corner out for me 🤙 I do have a way of turning EVERY project into a complete disaster though, so don't rule anything out!
Hilarious @FreyaTheMalibgata! Stay cool, thanks for posting.
I rip around the city in this thing. 180k miles. Mine's in excellent shape too. Obviously the previous owners didn't treat the carpet good but everything else looks new
I have a 2018 colorado z71, doesnt shudder, just shifts WAY tooo fast
You might benefit from this level of transmission service.
It just happened to me at work😩, Thanks !!!!
What are those metal pins called again? And can I get them on Amazon??
@chivo1978 there should be a parts link in the video description.
Awwww!
Woooooo 👍👍👍 i
