Hi, I'd get an aftermarket tachometer, check vacuum lines for a vacuum leak on the carburetor, check spark plug wires, distributor, and distributor cap. It could also be fuel line related like a clogged fuel filter or sock.
She's a tough 💪 truck. A 10 on the W😮W factor. Has that mean aggressive chop-chop cam tone. Have a wonderful week guys . 😊

Awesome Square Body. My guess is fuel related, maybe in the carb. Also, Microphone while driving picks up a nasty (Not Good) rasp in the exhaust when at higher RPM's. Good luck! You guys always do great work!

Thank you @donE37100. I have wondered if it's a fuel/air mixture ratio science that's slightly off in the carb. Regarding the sound... that's the "glasspacks" on the truck exhaust. Some folks like it. But, I don't care for it either. Quality turbo muffs would have been my choice.
