hi, i have a question: i would like to use argan oil in my soap recipe should I replace any oil or i just add it in my recipe, and how much I can use?

I use a large wax melter with a pour spout for my oil and a glass tea pitcher with a pour spout for my lye. I just get however much i need and create. I stir the wax pot before I get oil and the lye I soap at 31% so, I mix the water already added. However, when I'm doing a specialty soap I do it like you and store it with a label on top(I'm a forgetter) that has the correct page number in my recipe book. LOL. We all find little ways of speeding up the measuring, pouring and spooning. I dread that part so much I try to make it quick. I'm learning to make a face care line and I'm back to tiny measurements and glass beakers. I feel like a bull in a china shop. LOL. I love to watch your videos because they give me such good ideas and tips I'd never thought of. Thank you so much for all the content you take the time to share.

The only remaining question I have after watching this is…you mention you’re resizing the recipe to “the amount of oils that will fit in your mold. Is it really based on the oils only? What about the ounces of lye factored into your final batch weight to fit a specific mold?

What size pvc pipe did you use? About 3 to 4 inches

Hello, I bought the book on salt soaps. I notice that the soaps contain a lot of coconut oil and they are offered for the face. Coconut oil has a high comedogenic rate. I would like to know if its rate remains the same after saponification. Looking forward to reading your response! web translation

Dear I am Kuldeep from India. You have inspired me to make soap. I had a question. What is the reason why cold process soap sticks wherever it is kept after bath? Please reply and what can be done in the recipe so that it does not stick hard at different places. Where it sticks, the soap crumbles and gets spoiled.

What if you have a recipe you like but you want to add an ingredient? Nothing major, but something like a color or titanium dioxide or an essential oil or fragrance? Can the calculator do that?

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and tips. I guess these Rubbermaid containers are more difficult to find in 2022. I finally found them at Dollar General (what a misnomer), and the Ziplock ones on Amazon. This will save all that dishwashing and (sometimes; okay most times) the mess up, THEN the 2 hr. clean up. 😞 I love your multiple batch tip 🙂!

This Master Batching looks so laboursome. Why don’t you pour the calculated oils into a 1 Gallon container and pour out what you need for your recipe when ready for your one loaf. And pour all the Lye solutions calculated and mixed up into another Gallon? Then pour out what you need when ready for that loaf. So much repetition here, containers, and clean up! I’m sure there are ways to be even more efficient than this .... four years on! Thanks anyway.

Hi. Y dont u use Sodium Lactate in your soaps? I have read that Sodium Lactate is used for making long lasting soap bars. Just asking for my info. Thank U

I’m new to soap making & also have eczema psoriasis. I can’t use certain oils & often it’s the solids like cocoa, coconut & shea. I’m ok with animal fats like bear fat. But Do all soap recipes need to have a solid type fat added? Or are there liquid substitute oils? Some oils I’m ok with are almond, safflower, castor, sunflower, grape seed, olive. Would your charts show substitute for the solids?
