Firewood season is upon us! Just got myself a 372xp. Been cutting wood for years with a husky 359 and a jonesred 630

I got into watching wood cutting videos but often wonder if there’ll be trees left in a few years. I hope those cutting are also planting new ones. Someone from Norway commented on an Alaskan video to just insulate your homes properly and fireplace instead of stove, it warms up the house longer and less wood.

I was always a Stihl man running 029 Supers, 046 mag and a MS660. Buddy gave me a great deal on a nice Husky 390XP and it has quickly become my favorite big saw! Very smooth with a 28 in bar.

Bigger saws are not faster unless the wood and the bar get bigger. Put 23rsp on the little guy and drop the rakers and it will smoke the 395 in that wood until you get aggressive on the chain on the 395, put a big rim on it…

I like watching people cut firewood. Know why? "Cause it ain't me doing it.

OOOFFFFF... just wrapped up a job buckin up a 48" log and i liked to kick myself every time i rocked my chain cause i only have the one

had a 440 that i ran a 32 on. recently upgraded to a 500i and it now wears the 32 from the old 440 (440 died by screwdriver)... i can get away with a 28 if need be, but the 32 is the sweet spot for me... perfect length bar to fall with, limb with and buck with

Yeah, re: PPE, I had almost the exact same mishap as your young story, except I got a 2 inch scar now on my left leg. Very fortunate those little mishaps are not worse. Thanks for sharing your stories!
