You saved me! Spent long hours looking to move and deform grease pencil strokes over a surface. You're the best!

I started watching your videos since the kombucha times... what a tracing vector it has been!

Probably not to most on topic, but I'm having a problem with the greae pencil line-art modifier. See, I'm trying to create simple wire-frame UI animations like what we see in classic sci-fi. I make the objects and the world a simple flat RGB black. Then add a colored line-art modifer over it. But no matter what I do, the outline is too dark. Can you help me brighten it up?

I'm fairly certain this workflow could be made significanty less fiddly with a dedicated addon that directly turns selected greasepencil fills into a a pixel grid of the chosen resolution in place instead of going trough the extra step of rasterizing everything and then converting it back and forth. Hopefully someone will see this and consider working on it, it shows potential.

You realize that meta would have made hundreds time better if they invested in anti ai tech rather than generative ai?😂😂😂

I just bought your pack because I'm so fed up trying to figure out how to accomplish the watercolor look through procedural textures, and the authenticity of the textures I'm seeing in the brushstrokes so far just can't be replicated with all that confusing shader stuff. I have lots of experimentation ahead to figure out how to accomplish what I'm going for, but so far this looks promising. Only have a mouse at the moment, but if I get anywhere with this I'll definitely start considering a drawing pad!

This is interesting, I might actually start learning GN... I will try this & try to make something of my own.. The BIG problem for me is I cannot wrap my head around node based workflow, I can easily understand code based (python etc) workflow cause of my programming background..

It took me ages to figure out, but the reason why the grease pencil objects are black in that viewport is because the "vertex paint opacity" is turned off. To fix, go to "vertex paint" mode, and click the greasepencil button at the top next to the viewport overlays buttons, and you should find the "vertex paint opacity". It's buried in there!

Hmmm, regular 3d objects require a set material node to tell the instances what colour to be. Not sure about GP objects tho

did you tried Linux operation system before does Linux OS suitable for Graphic designer? I'm a graphic designer and using Linux for above a couple of years it's charm and fast I have replaced most graphic tools to Open-source graphic tools like (Gimp replaced to Photoshop) - (Inkscape replaced to Illustrator) - (Krita for drawing) -(blender replaced to Cinema4D). I replaced all my graphic tools to this Open-source apps that I have noted above. best wishes...

I looked into the problem you had at 05:33 and I believe it is a bug, I created a bug report which can be viewed on the blender website number #124477 Edit: I found a fix it here are the steps: 1: In the Geometry Nodes workspace select a grease pencil object and go in to draw mode. 2: Click on the Overlay grease pencil options menu (it is in the top bar of the 3d viewport one icon to the left of Toggle X-Ray and one to the Right of Show Overlays and looks like a loop with square ends) 3: Under vertex paint set opacity to 1.0 instead of 0.0 Hope this helps :)
